I tried using this app on my children’s devices but it did not block, restrict, or control anything. I do not recommend this app.
  • Doesn’t work

    By Mark3563
Installed on my son’s phone and my phone. Time and site restrictions sort of worked for a while, mostly time. But some sites like uTube were never blocked. I got a new iPhone 8 and installed parental version. When I log into portal I see no activity on my son’s phone which is simply not true. I personally used his phone to access anything I want whenever I want. Tried tech support a couple times but they are slow and provide bad info. For me, this was a waste of money. By the way, I’m pretty tech savvy having been an engineer with a top tech company for many years.
  • Premium version useless for iOS users

    By Toyela
If you are an Apple iOS user, do not buy the premium version. It does not offer any further functionality than the free version. I made the mistake of purchasing the premium version only to find out after-the-fact that you cannot monitor or limit individual app usage on iOS devices. This is now stated in the ‘new’ apple users manual that was posted on the Qustodio website after I made my purchase. So the only thing it’s good for is limiting Internet access and locking down the entire device based on a schedule, which you can do for free. You cannot limit how much time your kid spends playing non-internet games, which is the whole reason I purchased the premium version. To add insult to injury, Qustodio says they cannot issue a refund if you purchase the app through the App Store, but how else are you supposed to purchase it on an Apple device? Fortunately, the App Store customer representative was understanding and issued a refund right away. The app itself also yielded very strange and confusing reports. It kept reporting that my kid was using Facebook when the app is not even installed on his device. Deleting this one for good.
  • Total disappointment!!!!

DO NOT BUY IF IPHONE USER!!!!!!! Customer service is horrible you have to wait 1 to 2 days for them to reply to your messages and you cannot monitor text messages which is the only reason why I got this, a total waste of money this is pure crap!
  • Unwanted.

I have moved out and at the age of 19, I would like this removed. My father has no idea what the password is to shut it down. If you have any idea how to take this off that be great. I can't make doctor appointments for my child when everything is blocked. Thank you.
  • Hanged the iPad, terrible customer support

    By Sp1cee
On paper, this service is pretty good. It gives you reports, tracks usage time and allows you control over your child's device. However, where it failed for me was when it caused the iPad to hang. The service works using a VPN. Trouble is the VPN can be slow to connect and the final straw came for me when the VPN couldn't connect but wouldn't allow the device to use the Wifi. I couldn't turn it off, there was no online help (you email them your problem and wait for a reply, sorry, when it comes to device access, that's just too long), and I ended up having to WIPE the iPad clean and start over completely. When Qustodio's customer support finally came back to me 4 days after, it was a terse, curt and unhelpful reply. DO NOT rely on this service!
  • I will shoot myself

This app is ruining my life. I don’t have a phone. But I have this. It is my life and Qstudio is limiting use of my life. Why...
  • Bypass

Please fix this , if you go to settings on iPhone and go to general/vpn/Qustodio and click on the i for info you can spam the connection on and off and exit settings really fast and it will temporarily disable Qustodio
  • Inconsistent service

    By Brchodzin
Updated: I'm lowering my review from three stars to one, because of the ability to disable Qustodio in only a few seconds, and the inability to contact any live customer support. The app randomly started blocking voice mail (marked "always allow" in the rules), which is necessary for his job, and waiting two-to-four days for some kind of response, and no resolution ever, is unacceptable. Blocked callers can still call and text- this app only blocks outgoing phone calls- so it is completely useless in protecting against unwanted/dangerous contacts. I would not recommend this app at all. Really the only positive comment I can share is that they processed my requested refund very quickly. (Original) When this app works, it’s good. Full access to the child’s device including Android text messages, to/from calls, websites browsed, apps used, etc. The problem is how inconsistently it actually works. It will often say the device is not being used, even when we’re in the same room and I see with my own eyes he's using his phone, the location tracker is offline for days at a time, some calls/texts don’t register in the timeline or on the report until days later if at all, and customer service is only accessible by email, with curt responses that don’t really give any information. For example, the response might be “device tracking is only available on Android.” Okay, it’s on Android so that’s not the problem, and is the issue being fixed? No information is given.
