Alfred Home Security Camera App Details

*Most downloaded security camera app *Endorsed by 10 million families, including cops *Must-have for parents & pet owners *Favored by caregivers to help with their work YOU GET: -- Remote access: stream live video wherever you are. -- Motion sensor & instant alerts: always know when something happens. -- Free cloud storage : save and keep videos. -- Walkie-talkie: interact with family, pets, delivery man, or deter intruder. -- 360 camera : cover a larger area with both lenses. WHY CHOOSE ALFRED? UNIVERSAL Alfred is compatible with the majority of smartphones and tablets on the market. Did you get an iPhone X? As long as your devices run iOS 8 and up, it is compatible with Alfred. Your old iPhone, iPad, or iPod can have a fruitful second life and serve a new purpose! You won’t have spare gadgets gathering dust or going to waste anymore! Do you work behind a PC all day? Use Alfred’s WebViewer to stream video feed from your computer. VERSATILE Everyone wants to protect their loved ones and ensure their safety. You don’t need ADT or Simplisafe to do that. Unlike traditional CCTV systems, you can place Alfred anywhere and change as often as you want wherever you need to reinforce security. You don’t even have to buy a Nest Cam or Dropcam. Besides the cost of the equipment, these smart home appliances often charge a monthly fee. With Alfred, there is no complicated installation, IP settings, or contract. You only have to download Alfred to build a DIY home security system: pure and simple. Besides the capacity of streaming live feed of your home, Alfred keeps you updated on what is going on in your home with motion sensor and instant alerts. If you see an intruder, you can scare him away by speaking through the walkie-talkie and immediately notify the local authorities. The videos are kept safe in the free cloud storage, and they can be saved or downloaded as evidence to help identify the suspect. Alfred is an essential component of any home improvement project if you are interested in building a smart home or experimenting with voice assistants such as Google Assistant. Consider the following scenario: when holidays such as Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Black Friday approach, the number of parcels everyone receives increases. Unfortunately, so do the parcel theft cases. UPS tracking and Fedex tracking do not keep your precious parcels safe! If you check a crime map, you will see that burglary happens more often than you can imagine. How can you deter parcel thieves? Besides becoming part of the Crime Stoppers, you should make Alfred guard the entrance of your place and keep an eye on your property as well as purchases. ECO-CONSCIOUS Why throw away perfectly usable devices and buy more equipment when you can upcycle, recycle, and repurpose old devices? Everyone is taking advantage of their unused smartphones by turning them into a music player with Spotify, a GPS navigator with Google Maps, or a fitness device with FitBit. It can even become a Bitcoin miner, VR headset, or smart doorbell. Why not use yours as a security camera? Alfred Premium, a monthly subscription service, charges 3.99 USD/month (local currency may apply). It offers HD viewing, recording, as well as ad removal. At the confirmation of upgrade, the payment will be charged to your iTunes Account. The account will be automatically charged for renewal unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the current subscription expires. You can manage your subscription and auto-renewal by going to Account Settings. The features of Alfred Premium are associated with the account you use to log in to Alfred (not your iTunes account), and are available to all devices logged in with the same account. App Reviews

  • App crashes entirely too much

Completely useless. Unreliable. Even after following all the steps that are listed for connectivity (and there are a ton (so clearly developers know there are major issues with their app) it still is not reliable. Don't waste your time. Surely there are better apps without so many issues. Not only did I follow all the steps, I'm sick of seeing the developers say don't touch the home button or turn off the phone. I don't touch the camera phone after setting it up. I use the steps for iOS with the suggested feature and why require gmail account when the developer then tells you not to grant google permission and to separate the two. Utterly useless. Especially when you really need it to work. I'm not happy and won't be using this app anymore. I'm also tickled at Apple for not allowing reviews the developer doesn't like not to show up. Had I seen more of the negative reviews I would of found a better app. Seriously, if you are in need of reliability this app is not the app for you. It literally crashes about every minute if not more. They have an entire forum dedicated just for all the issues this app has. Don't even bother with paid version. It's not only a waste of money but doesn't make the app any better. FaceTime works better. It may not record but good grief this app is a utter waste.
  • Not the best for iPhone

It’s always freezing, and I even pay for premium. It’s super frustrating. Sometimes if the video is longer than 15 seconds, it won’t even play on my phone. Which defeats the purpose of having it. Please fix this.
  • In love with Alfred

Revised: Originally, it surpassed my expectations and It seemed perfect for keeping an eye on a second home in another state. My neighbor there has it as well, so we watch each other’s houses and use the cameras to their best advantage between the two properties. I can’t believe I can look out my front window there from my house here!! Night vision could be better, but.....ya can’t have everything. Ok... I just dropped a star because the “camera” device keeps going offline. I’m over a thousand miles away, so I can’t possibly check it, which pretty much ruins its effectiveness for many users. My neighbor might figure out the issue ...but.... so far it has done it twice in 3 days...not good. Too much hassle if we can’t solve the problem.

Works extremely well! I love that it has free cloud storage along with ways to connect multiple devices to one account! Being able to utilize old devices as security cameras for our home for no cost is absolutely amazing!
  • Unreliable

Camera viewer constantly crashes down and gets bed a black screen, even though it says that it’s running. Not good.
  • What happened????

I was thrilled with this app. I have an older iPad that I set up and could monitor my front door at all times. For the last two weeks, the notifications of “motion detected” started coming in rapid fire. I had to turn off the notifications and I still see where it records 5 second videos repeatedly throughout the day when there in no one at home nor opening the door. What a shame. Please fix it again.

    Great little app
  • Annoying add

Do Not update!!! Since newest update, add will start poping up and change the view and once ad pops up, it does not reconnect. Wish I could go back to previous version. Again, DO NOT UPDATE!!!
  • New Updated Version Does Not Work!

I have used this app for many months and it worked great. But since their recent “update” it is terrible. Cameras will not connect or disconnect constantly and cannot be connected remotely. What good is a security camera if I have to be there! My WiFi and cameras are exactly as they were before, nothing has changed on my end. I have done everything they suggest including Guided Access. Since the problems only started with their new “updated version” I know the problem is with them. I suspect they are doing it to get people to “upgrade” from the free version to the “pay $3.99 a month” version. Not a nice thing for them to do!
