App Reviews

  • Great App, just a couple suggestions...

I really loved the things the App allowed me to control on my child’s phone. I really liked that I could set multiple restricted/downtimes by the individual day or for multiple days. I also liked that I could give access to certain App’s all the time. The biggest problem I had with this was that my kid figured out how to delete the device management from his phone. I wasn’t aware of any feature in the App that could prevent that from happening. It would also be nice if the App gave the child a 5 minute warning & maybe even a 10 second count down before the Apps disappeared. All in all it is a great App though.
  • App works great, Except!!!

The app work great except the where my son can remove the profile which then the device cannot be managed until the profile is reinstalled There is also an issue with installing “ourpact jr.” For the price of the premium version this app should work flawlessly. For the 2 reasons above. I am giving it a one star rating Maybe when the issue are fixed I will comeback and write a different review As a suggestion. Add a part where the settings can be disabled by the app since it ties into the os
  • Great in theory but...so far, not so good

This app (allegedly) does everything I want it to do however i wouldnt know that for sure because ive now spent a total of about 5 hours trying to set it up to no avail (after first leaning I had to install itunes on my computer - then installing it- then having to wait through not one but TWO ios update - it updated one day then two days later when i gave up after about 3 hours the first time - it was saying there was a new update that itunes forced me to update to - then the phone got accidentally disconnected and i had to start the entire install process all over again). I thought i was FINALLY almost there except...apparently the phone has to have a certain amount of memory to “restore back up” (the supposed last step in the required premium feature install process). This would have been REALLY nice to know prior to starting this process as i would have cleared some space on her phone first. Tomorrow we will clear some space and i will try AGAIN. I consider myself fairly technologically savvy. But this is a headache to even get up and running. Ive now wasted almost a week trying to get my daughters phone setup. I understand that part of the issue is that im trying to do this with an iphone and because apple products are so much harder to remotely control, i know this would be a challenge. So i did A LOT of research before i settled on an app. This said, so far, im disappointed and not understanding how enough people even figured out how to get this app connected to their kids to fairly rate it. But once i finally get it installed, i will update my review!

My son is 13 right now and one day while i had his account restricted i saw him on snapchat and i wondered how? So i then googled how to get rid of ourpact and found step by step guides on how to get rid of it. so if your child is smart enough to do a quick google search and stop you from restricting his/her device than don’t waste your $6.99 a month.
  • If you want to pay

$7 a month to have the phone managed. I couldn’t do anything other than shut it down and control bedtime. And when you unblock it, the apps are all re-arranged and out of order, unless you want to pay $7 a month. I might not mind paying a couple dollars but not interested in $80 a year
  • OurPact junior app not available

I was happy with OurPact. My 2 kids and I got iPhone 10 a couple of weeks ago. My son has OurPact junior but when I tried looking for OurPact jr on my daughters phone, it’s not available. When will OurPact Jr be available or will it not be available at all? I need to know ASAP please. Otherwise I will need to look for a different parental control. Thanks.
  • Only three stars for now

Only three stars for now since even the premium version scrambles my children’s apps. This really makes it unusable. Tech support said they there is a problem with the OurPact Jr. so it won’t install on iOS devices. Without that you can’t set time limits and the apps get scrambled. Very, very frustrating.
  • This app shouldn’t have been created

My kids now don’t like me anymore and have offered to pay for there own phone just so they don’t have to have this app. Thanks for nothing OurPact!

My kids are now 11 and 13. It’s been about 2 years since they both started spending all of their free time on their devices. We knew we needed some solution but we first needed to get the kids on the same type of device (The first solution I tried was a bear to install, but it was promising cross platform abilities...ultimately I couldn’t get it working.) Many months later I tried OurPact and it’s been amazing. My wife and I are high fiving each other. It seems like it was designed with a lot of feedback from real families and real kids. I particularly like that I can grant app by app permissions when my kid actually might need one particular app outside of the normal hours. Most importantly it’s reminded our kids that app time is a privilege and limits are a normal part of growing up. Thanks to the development team for creating an excellent product.
  • Great app overall

I was so pleased the app worked well and quickly. It did mess with the phone’s alarm clock feature initially. Unfortunately my 14 yo figured out how to delete it from his phone which does send a warning message to you. Just wish there was a password or code that parents could set so the app couldn’t be deleted off the child’s phone without it.
