Don’t get this app! It dosent just “lock” your phone, it REMOVES all your apps, and when your time starts over they are all rearranged! Terrible app

After trying my cellular service provider’s parental control app, and finding that I could delete the companion app from my child’s phone, I went looking for another option. Let me tell you, there is a reason this is so well rated! When lockdown mode is engaged, the gaming and social apps disappear from my child’s phone. The icons are gone and there is no way to access them at all. Kidslox leaves the calling and texting features available for use, which I appreciate, so that she can contact me in the event of an emergency. I found the parent user interface to be thorough, yet intuitive. It is easy to navigate and itemizes the features and apps that will be locked out during each type of mode. Knowing that even when child mode is engaged, she will still be protected with safe search browsing and content filtering, as well as the requirement to request permission before downloading apps, has actually increased our communication about what is appropriate for her. We can talk about why I declined a particular app so she knows what features to look for before she asks to download. Overall, I’m very impressed. As a person who has almost never downloaded a paid app, I can tell you that my standards are high. I just signed up for the lifetime premium service and will be downloading the companion app on all of the devices in my home, as well as recommending this to my friends.
  • Horrible app SCARY

My phone would be on lockdown mode at random times 4 a clock 9am and It will not let me change it to child mode and ever since I got this app my battery life has been going down a lot and MY APPS ARE ALWAYS MOVED AROUND WHEN IT COMES OUT OF LOCKDOWN MODE. The worst thing about this app is it restricts Safari pages that are innocent pages that have like my Schedule for dance!
  • TERRIBLE DELETES APPS

I got this app after reading all the reviews and thinking it would work perfectly fine. Once you get it makes you add configurations which DELETES ALL YOUR APPS. As I didn’t know this I added configurations and it DELETED MY APPS. After spending over an hours I removed configurations completely and then it finally worked. I STRONGLY SUGGEST IT IS FAKE

This app never worked, they can turn off wi fi and it doesn’t keep track of time and a lot of other glitches. Don’t waste your money.
  • This app is forever

It didn’t do anything, until I deleted it. It comes back every two days or so and messes up all my apps and locks me out form things that I don’t want to been locked out from. This is the worst purchase ever
  • Too good to be true.

One of the better rated apps that offered what few do: a lifetime subscription instead of paying every month or year or week for a lifetime. Very easy to understand, navigate and puts parents in control of the vast majority of device app functions. One major problem: even after “installing” the placeholder icon, all the controlled apps disappeared and never came back while the remaining icons *as warned if placeholder was not used* rearranged themselves. I was super excited with the possibility of such fantastic control and easy to use interface with just one lifetime purchase. But alas, I can’t have my kids apps completely disappear ever time the phone enters restricted mode. I hope this issue is resolved at some point and I may try again in the future. But, for now, I need to find a different app that doesn’t jack up my kids apps just so I can’t control their usage. I’m glad everyone else got it to work without experiencing the issue I did. I’m not as fortunate.

I like this app because it upsets my siblings beyond compare. It’s funny because I’m an adult.

I’ve been looking for an app that provides the ability to safely limit specific app content for a long time. This one does it very well with the added ability to add time restrictions and schedules. The additional benefit of being able to control specific access through either my phone or the restricted device is terrific. The paid subscription is well worth it!
