  • Do NOT subscribe to this logbook service

If you are converting from another logbook program to LTP because you switched from PC to MAC (like me) look elsewhere for a better electronic logbook. I have been in touch with “customer support” numerous times via email trying to get the Logbook Pro file export to Excel to LTP to work properly. The converted file mixed many multiple-leg trips on the same day up (using hobbs times only) and it would take hours to sort the trips into proper order (Excel file lists trips in correct order). LTP does not offer telephone support and email response is very sporadic so I’m at an impasse. I was also given a discount link to save ~$30 on an annual subscription that didn’t work either. There appears to be a few neat features in LTP, but I’m not wasting money on a subscription for a service that is so fraught with errrors. This might be an ok program for pilots just starting out, but not for those who would have to enter thousands of hours of flying from scratch, or sift through the LTP datafile looking for errors. You can find a better product elsewhere, or load Windows on MAC and continue to use Logbook Pro, like I’ll be doing. Only problem is I can’t even finish applications for the majors until I return home from flying in 18 days time… Aarghh...

I regret the day I ever put this terrible, no good app on my devices. Sync, DOES NOT WORK EVER. I’ve spent the last 2 hours trying to get this to sync between devices and NO LUCK. This is status quo as usual. I have zero issues with icloud syncing in any of my other apps. Of course the developers will comment on this review and talk about how reliable and wonderful the sync feature works. Well that is absoluetely incorrect and they should spend time trying to fix it instead of replying to reviews with lies. Once the subscription (that I was forced into, since I’ve been using this before a subscription was required, and my data was held hostage until I paid up) is over I will print out all my logbooks (pray that they are accurate since this thing is also very glitchy, and I spend an annoying amount of time fixing the glitches that taint my logbooks) and NEVER EVER USE THIS POORLY DEVELOPED APP EVER AGAIN. I have meet with LogTen ‘whoever they send to trade shows’ and they are the least knowledge people representing a product I have EVER encountered. They couldn’t fix issues I was having, while they held my iphone in their hand. They handed it back to me and said they had no clue, with a big dumb grin. I want the application to STOP counting visual approaches as instrucment approaches and they couldn’t do it. Thanks for sending the janitor to the trade show. There online support is also the WORST. It once took 9 days for them to respond to an issue, the next time I reached out to their support it took 2 requests before I was finally contacted 6 days later and they were unable to help…as usual. Do not purchase this hunk of junk if you think it will make your life easier tallying up all your hours for various forms. I spend more time F*&%ing with this crap-ap then I EVER did with a paper logbook. I wish there was an option to give this APP negative one thousand stars.
  • What a waste of $

    By isaior
Seriously, stay away. The program has so many bugs. I have brought it up to their attention and what has been done: NOTHING. Oh, but they are quick to charge you the $80 per year for a software full of glitches. You have been warned. Stay away!
  • Want my $$$ back!

By Disappointed Log Ten Pro user!
I’ve been a long time user of Log Ten Pro electronic logbook and was apprehensive to purchase the latest update due to past issues and high cost. However, after consideration, I purchased a one year subscription and had immediate problems. While importing data, all imported dates would slide back one day. I contacted their support team and was told it was a known issue. Three weeks later, still no resolution. Another problem was some of the imported data would not import at all, resulting in total time not calculating. After three weeks of not using the app, it will not allow me to enter data at all! Furthermore, while I just purchased this subscription a few weeks ago, its asking me to renew?! For the substantial cost of this app, it should work flawless but unfortunately my experience has been nothing but problems and frustration. Since there doesn’t seem to be any good electronic logbooks available, I’ll be switching back to using my paper logbook.
  • Excellent Logbook and Excellent Support

    By Fred’s Ex
I have used LogTen for several years and am completely happy with it. Recently I had a small issue when I transitioned to a new MacBook. Coradine’s support team immediately came to the rescue and now my logbook is running smoother than ever over three separate devices.
  • Mobile App

    By Etizzytay
I have been a logten user for a few years now, when I bought the mobile app for the ability to synch my logbook between my devices. i purvhased the mobile only subscription as i have the old for life mac subscripotion and it would not synch. I love the logbook but dont want to have to buy again when I’ve already bought my Mac subscription…since it would not synch I canceled my subscription.
  • Agree with the negatives

    By 39N119W
Hundreds of dollars in the past 5 years just to keep this app operating. I’m not interested in a subscription, sadly it is their way of bilking more money from past loyal users; no more! If you have upgraded your IOS, forget the all the data that you had recorded, it is unavailable. Way too expensive for what most pilots need.
  • Horrible Functionality Poor Customer Service Hard to Read Instructions

    By bollocks 007
I purchased the enitre $129.00 product and I’m very disappointed. Very limited customer support for the amount of money they are charging. I was using my Mac and was trying to create a logbook and multiple data rows duplicated themselves. Example, Date & Total Time populated twice. I could not figure out how to delete this additional rows. Spent hours trying to figure it out. Previously logged data started to move, delete or duplicate. I contacted customer support no one responded. I don’t think I should wait at their mercy for support after I all we are the customer and this appp is not cheap. Customer Service is non existant. I could not find a video tutorial or a written explanation of my problem. Of course, there probably is one if you feel like spending all day shuffeling through the large data base of troubleshooting topics.
  • It’s a Great App!!!

    By Paulie_P
I just had to write something because of some of the negative reviews I’ve seen. I get it, I’ve been there. Logbooks not syncing. App Crashing. Every time, it’s because I’m not staying up to date with my Apple software. I hate upgrading my OS & iOS, I have a legacy app called Aperture, that Apple killed, and every uptade I’m afraid it’s not going to work. Stay up to date! There isn’t anything better than this LogBook app. I hope it lives forever.
  • I cannot recommend this application.

    By JBHorner
I’ve used this product for years. I’ve moved past the schenanigans they pulled with their pricing. They like a subscription model. I get it. But the quality of the application is just absolutely terrible. I’ve had problems with iCloud synchronization for as long as the application supported this as an option. (They initially said there was nothing they could do about it—it was an Apple problem.) Curiously, however, I don’t have problems with ANY other application that uses iCloud synchronization. Now, when I open their application on my iPhone, it crashes after about three minutes. (And, of course, the data isn’t up to date because it never can synchronize.) Despite removing the application and readding the application—it still crashes. This would point to something in my data, I suppose. The question to ask is how their application corrupted my data. The better question, as a pilot that must provide accurate logbook to the FAA on request, is can this application be trusted to correctly represent actual logbook data. I’d have to answer that question with a resounding “no.” Use this product at your own risk, as it is not trustworthy. Of course I continue to keep a paper logbook. But it seems to be a bit of a loss of value to have this application not handle data with the care it should.
