I love OneNote and use it Daily. So I have a lot of pages and tabs. But I have no way to sort pages to quickly find information that I’ve saved. Adding this feature will make it much easier to find recently saved notes and data. PLEASE ADD SORTING!!!!
  • Older version is better than newer version

The old version is better than newer version of Onenote: 1)It has more features than newer version, 2)Compatibility issues with older version and newer versions. 3)Section/sub-section, notes organization was better 4) Syncing errors on different devices
  • VERY Efficient!

I've tried Evernote, Google Keep, all the random apps but OneNote is by far the most intuitive and easy note-taking app I've ever used. The iOS and OSX apps are absolutely beautiful.

Keep up the great work, one request I have is could you guys consider a few more vibrant colors for page colors. what you have is sort of lame. I keep going back to BLUE which is just so so. More definite color options would be a welcome sight. Thanks

  • Skeptical at first...

I use this program in my Masters Program. I was a traditional, pen and paper note-taker but the amount of information required in my classes made it impossible and I was frequently missing topics that were important for exams. One notes allows me to put PDFs of presenter lectures and take notes on specific slides as I would with a pen but with the speed of a keyboard. Being able to record lectures is a plus so that I can listen to lectures if I am confused about anything. My only complaint is that I have issues with syncing. Tried apple forums to fix the issue - ie Wifi and connection with no luck. My version seems to sync whenever it feels like/wants to.
  • OMG, Y'all really keep improving OneNote...but

First let me applaud you for getting the formula for this app right. NI use this app everyday, all day! I am thrilled that no longer does it crash and now it syncs as it is suppose to. And thank you for adding additional font color options, wish we could have more highliting options. With that good stuff said, I NEED for you all to allow us -- the users -- to define our own symbols. Most of those definitions are useless to me and I need others more specific to what I am doing. I know that we cannot drawer our own symbols but I would like to be able to edit the symbol label. Just an idea...please

I've used OneNote on the Mac and in Windows for many years. The chagrin I feel about the Mac version is that it's never the same as the Windows version. I long for the day when a totally web-based, advanced, powertful OneNote will be made available. One huge issue I've always had is that even though one might own MIcrosoft Word, Excel and so on, those documents aren't made available in a round-trip format. Additionally a complete set of tools available in Word isn't available in OneNote. Still OneNote has distinct advantages that must be acknowledged. Video and screen recording still isn't fully supported in OneNote which is unfortunate. Also the ability to break out and perform a task and step analysis would be exceedingly helpful. In other Words the ability to perform a screen recording and then have it broken out Step-By-Step automatically or with just a little prompting isn't supported. Full importand expert of Microsoft Word documents with integration is not possible. One can import the file and mark it up but the ability fully import the Word document and turn its headers into OneNote headers and to access OneNote functionality is not supported. The Mac version doesn't support Calendar integration and there is no Microsoft Outlook for the Mac integration as there might be. Again my preference would be for an advanced, fully functional web product that works and is totally OS agnostic. But that's not likely to happen. Sadly Microsoft can't seem to strike a good solid deal with Apple which remains intransigent to the point of dooming their users.

I have been a user of OneNote for several years. I use this for all of my note taking and documentation. This works so well that I even have my team using it for all of our documentation with customer issues. The only thing this is missing is Dark Mode. Once they add that, it will be perfect.
  • OneNote is great; can't save notebooks locally is dealkiller

I really like OneNote. I've been using it since I discovered it in 2008. The program has gotten quite good and I've been impressed with it. As a trial lawyer, I have been using it for all my trial notebooks. The one major sticking point for me is that I cannot store notebooks locally or on my office network. They have to be stored in One Drive. Because we can only save notebooks on OneDrive, I will likely be migrating to another solution. Another area I'd like to see improvement on is printing. I don't print that often, but I do need to from time-to-time. But the way OneNote paginates is terrible. I end up with lines of text split in half hoizontally across two pages. I don't know how you fix that in a free form notetaker like OneNote, but it would be great if they could fix that.
