  • Untrue, this does not have free upgrades

    By American Primitive
In fact this a new full charge version of an earlier version. The author was PO’d at needing to rework his UI code because he was making event assumptions that led to the calculator freezing. Lots of annoying quirky gotchas which will endlessly annoy anyone who has spent serious time with an HP 12C. Most annoying to me is that CLX does not clear the X register but instead clears the last digit requiring several presses to clear the register. I don’t know if this is an error or a quirky preference but I do know that it should be optional.
  • My HP 12c is in retirement!

This is simply the BEST financial calculator available on the iphone/ipad. Congratulations to the developer for putting together a notable app.
  • Completely recommend

    By ssevn
I was urged to get an app instead of buying an actual HP12C calculator and I’m so glad I got this one. I had a question for Tech Support and I got an answer in 15 minutes! In a way, calculator apps are pretty interchangeable but this app’s tech support really can’t be beat.
  • This is the 12c to get

    By Salasnet
while not as authentic looking as other 12c emulators/clones. This one is by far the best programmed, most complete, and most functional of all the ones available. The converter alone is worth the money. Paid and happy I did. I am a freebie junkie, so that is a ringing endorsement from me!
  • Best 12C emulator

    By LAX20531
I’ve tried many of the 12C emulators in the App Store and this is the best by far. Calculations are performed rapidly and the added tools are pure genius. This app goes far beyond the manufacturer’s outdated “official” app and takes the 12C to a level most never would never have imagined when the physical device was launched. The audit tape (that supports printing and select/copy) adds tremendous utility in reviewing past calculations and is saved between sessions. This is a niche app in a saturated marketplace but adds tremendous value for those who rely on it. For this reason I’d be amicable to a subscription model or new releases in order to ensure its sustainability and fairly compensate the developer.
  • Better than the Real HP12C!

    By Pappysnap
Trust me. This app is spectacular! I've used Hewlett Packard calculations since my early years in real estate in late 1970's. I didn't think it could be improved but I was wrong as this emulates all the good features of the physical HP12C and then adds benefits. It is so great to be able to look at the financial registers and see what values are in N, I, PV, PMT, and FV. One of my favorite features is using Clx to eliminate the last number in the X register. The physical HP12C eliminates the whole number so you have to start over. Being able to look at the tape is HUGE if you're wanting to see or verify that you have included all the variables in a long calculation. My fellow REALTORS® don't buy the Hewlett Packard iOS version. I used to train agents at board offices in Tennessee and Alabama on the use of the HP12-C and I've written articles for our nation trade publication, Real Estate Today. I've used the iOS version From Hewlett Packard and this version from Mr. Brock. This version wins HANDS DOWN. I would pay twice or even three times the asking price on 12/8/18. It's unfortunate that Ernest Brock has to battle against Apple's tweaks to it's operating systems which in turn causes tweaks in the App. This is THE go to app for financial calculations in the residential and commercial fields in real estate. To Mr. Brock: I am saving this review so that I can repost it due to an Apple reset.
  • Worth every penny and every dollar

This calculator is the best thing since tax laws and depreciation for calculating IRR and mortgage amounts on real estate transactions. You really need this if you ever bother to get in the CRE world.
  • Best Financial Calc - Period

It's fabulous...I have it on my iPhone and iPad and no longer need to use the separate 12C

I like it that the calculator has a tape function
