  • Update the App To Suppprt the X

    By dhaugru
Need full screen on the X. May go back to Android if I can get this fixed.

Where the hell is the iPhone X support? This is just lazy on the Play Movies team, it's been months since the iPhone X was released and developers knew of the new resolution well before the devices release. I want to use the Google Play movies app, but they're making my look up my content via YouTube under purchases. I want to access my purchases via GP Movies and I want Dolby 5.1 sound output (for casting, airplay, and lightning to HDMI output). Get it together GP Movies.
  • Why not support the iPhone X

    By iReviewit2foru
This app really needs iPhone X support. I know I can use the YouTube app and I have been to watch all of my Google Play Movies purchases. I just think if your going to keep the Play Movies app around it really should support the iPhone X since it has the biggest, highest resolution display of any iPhone.

    Needs iPhone X Support
  • Google rough edges

    By Dom B L
Like most Google products, has many rough edges. Toggling "Downloaded Only" and trying to browse your library locks the app for tens of seconds- this bug has existed for at least a year. The iPhone X has been out for months, and a simple video app hasn't been updated to fill the screen (pretty important for a video app).
  • Works, but could use improvement.

    By 'Ru
Does the job, but it's really obvious that the video player gets less love than YouTube's. No way to quickly skip back or forward by 10/15 seconds and no fine scrubbing control means good luck trying to back up just enough to hear that one line you missed 5 seconds ago. There's also no custom volume indicator, so anytime you adjust the volume, the giant grey square default iOS overlay pops up and covers half the screen.
  • At the moment

Though while trying to play this from my phone to my Apple box, it pauses through the movie or tv show I’m watching. But love the app with the cast to the smart tv. Just wanted to let u know about the glitch with casting from the phone to the Apple box. I wanted to add for those that use google play music and get the YouTube as well. Allow the YouTube to access your purchases. You’ll be able to watch them on your YouTube page. Just realized that.
  • Basically useless

    By Albeck01
This will not allow me to rent a movie, download it, and play while connected to my tv. It displays some message about protected movies. I’ll go back to getting movies from iTunes and Amazon video. At least they allow playback on my tv. What a useless app this is.
  • Great app but needs more work.

    By LP-RIPPER24
Please add the IPHONE X update. The movie should fit the screen. Kills it to see just half or a little more of screen on widescreen. Aside of that solid platform.
  • Alright

I want to be able to pay for the movies on the app. I don’t want to have to get on a computer or something to have to pay for them.
