Endless Wordplay App Details

*From the team at ORIGINATOR - the creators of the beloved Endless Alphabet, Endless Reader, and Endless Numbers.... Originator is a team of passionate artists and engineers dedicated to the best education+entertainment apps for kids.* As the next delightful app in the Endless series, Endless Wordplay sets the stage for spelling, word building, and wonderful rhymes! This app introduces key spelling patterns and phonograms that are important for beginning spellers and early writers. Written English can be complex and confusing, and Endless Wordplay reinforces spelling rules and variations using rhymes and a fun, progressive learning path. Kids will have a blast learning spelling patterns and phonograms with the all-new Alphabot and the beloved Endless monsters. Each lesson reinforces a spelling and phonetic pattern using a sequence of rhyming word puzzles with letters that come alive. The rhyming words then lead to entertaining and illustrative animations that are as fun as they are educational. Features: - 3 spelling lessons (9 words) free to try with additional lessons available for purchase. - The delightful lessons presented by Alphabot reinforce spelling and phonetic patterns in a fun and interactive way. - Animations bring the rhyming words to life and reinforce definitions and usage. - Endless Wordplay was designed with your children in mind. There are no high scores, failures, limits or stress. Your children can interact with the app at their own pace.

Our 4-year old son has loved these apps for a couple years now. He learns so much! The animation is adorable and the sounds are only minimally annoying (glowing praise since anything kid-related that makes noise usually drives parents batty).

The productions values for this app are simply remarkable: beautiful, fun animations, rich music and sound effects, etc....but when it comes to the task at a hand, actually learning to read and write? I’m not very impressed. For $14.00 there are, really, far too few words to practice here, and the way the activity is designed renders it uninformative. To play kids are given a new word, then they have to unscramble the letters of the word. Having done this they are given a sentence utilizing the word (to build vocabulary I guess) which itself is accompanied by brief but excellent cartoon. That’s very one dimensional, and it’s so easy for kids to simply guess until all the letters fall in place that there’s essentially no incentive whatsoever to actually buckle down and try to really learn the word in question. My son can mindlessly and quickly fiddle with the letters until he unlocks the cartoon (ignoring the opportunity to read the sentence altogether). And that’s it until it’s over! The animation is seriously great but as a piece of educational software it’s almost worthless. A wonderful idea, but they need a better set of gameplay mechanics.
  • How do i turn off the hints??

Hello, i want my son to spell on his own without the hints showing where to place each letter. How do i turn them off? It would be nice to have different difficulty levels. My 3 year old is already reading so I don’t want any hints on for him. From what i’ve noticed, each level has 3 words that rhyme. The first word-shows you where all the letters go (why???) 2nd word shows you where the first letter goes. And the third word has no hints. I want to turn ALL the hints off. I don’t think he will learn if he always has hints. I want to buy more words but don’t want to waste money if i can’t turn the hints off. And i don’t know if they turn off in the later words? Theoretically the further you get in the game, the smarter you are so you shouldn’t need hints. If the child needs a hint they should press the green question mark and it should reveal hints-1 letter at a time. The support button on your website does not work on my phone because it tries to open my MAIL app and that app is not working. So it would be great to just show your email address or have a contact form to submit. Also in the settings i cannot read anything without a magnifying glass. Or glasses if I had them. Maybe consider enlarging that. Even the number password for adults seems too small.

We love all the endless apps. If the robot would give us the letter sounds as a hint instead of telling the child to drag a letter to the place it would be even better at reinforcing the phonetics of the letters in the words. Thank you for creating such engaging and educational apps.
