  • Only works in the most basic way

    By Josh1222
Works on iPad but keyboard bugs make it unsuitable for anything more than quick fixes. Works on iPhone but without support for larger screens like the iPhone X. All-around sort of a low-effort app.
  • Well done but fix the display on new phones

    By claptonrox
This actually worked much better than I expected. The setup is the same as the desktop version and the mobile controls are well done. I’m only giving it three stars because it’s not updated to display the full screen on an iPhone Xs max
  • Please, please update this for iPhone X display type

    By aspoels
It’s painful to use, when literally every other app supports it. Also a dark mode would be appreciated.
  • iPhone XS is out and still no support for iPhone X screen

    Support it ,please
  • Wish it worked like AnyDesk

So much to configure between RD and usually needing a VPN as well, and then constantly dropping connection every few min...Switched to AnyDesk and could not be happier.
  • Good App Needs Support for iPhone XS

    By MuscIeNerd
This app is great especially when I had my iPhone 8 Plus. Now I have the XS and the screen does not fill. Hopefully they fix this soon. But since the x has been out for a year and they haven’t fixed it who knows if they’re even working on it.
  • Horribly unreliable, refuses to connect

    By Skeechan99
MS RD is so horribly unreliable that it cannot be trusted if you have to get any work done. You can be sitting right next to your PC, same subnet, no FW, starring at the Accept remote connections screen, staring at what users are permitted and nope, iPad Pro refuses to connect. Meanwhile Chrome RD works every single time from anywhere. Why I keep trying to get MS DR to work is a mystery. Every time I come back I think, maybe, there is a small possibly that over the past 15-20 years MS has finally figured out how to do RD reliably and nope. 2018, still no reliable RD.
  • Useless for programming environments!

    By RonMN580SR
Someone went to a great deal of efforts to turn single and double quote characters entered from the keyboard into curly quotes. They go so far as to figure out the order of characters on the line to decide whether the quote should be a left or right curly quote. This “feature” makes Remote Desktop unusable for programmers. The competing Jump app does not suffer from that problem.
  • Not compatible with iPhone X, Xs, and Xs Max

    By ghostdata
I really love this app and its a great tool to quickly remote into key devices but I recently upgraded to an iPhone Xs Max and it is now a pain to use. The app hasn’t been configured to exist without the physical home button and when you exit from a remote session it becomes hung and you are unable to swipe it away as is now the method to close apps. I have to first turn off my phone and then when I power it back on, avoid maximizing the app (or I have to star the process over) and from there I can swipe it closed. Very frustrating and hope it’s patched soon.
