  • I failed

Yes you’re reading it correctly. I failed! Please don't just study the Q/A's here which was my mistake. I brought the book and was confident going in but was cut off after the 100th question. Lessons learned and I'd like to communicate to others that this tool alone won't help you pass the exam. Two things I didn't like about this app is it doesn't do any drag and drop questions and all the questions it asks keep referencing the 2015 book. The one thing I do like is the ability to access the app/questions via my Apple, Android and the web. I'm not blaming this app at all I just want to be honest with you that you need to study other things besides this app. As for the UI its a great tool but for what you need it for, it provides outdated questions.

Looks like this app is just farming contact info. No thanks.
  • buggy apps, poor user experience

Numerous bugs in these PocketPrep apps. Repeated (daily) prompts to create account; I’m already logged in. Repeated (daily) prompts to purchase; already made purchase (and logged in). Repeated (daily) prompts to purchase a tutoring service; app needs to take no for an answer! Nearly continuous “refreshing user data”. This blocks the entire UI , makes app unusable for 45-120 seconds. This occurs on every app launch, and occurs even if the app was only put in the background for a few seconds. Refreshes should run on a background (and not block the main UI)! I’ve purchased ISC2 CISSP, ISACA CISM, ISACA CISA, CompTIA Network+. I’ve also tried CompTIA CASP, CompTIA Security+, and CompTIA A+. All seven of these PocketPrep apps have the same buggy issues.

Very good App at testing knowledge base as I navigate through multiple content books and online video instruction.
  • References are rarely correct

The app seems pretty decent as a study aid. It provides the chapter and page within the official study guide where you can do further research.. However they are rarely correct.
  • Good info, not worth the full purchase

I just passed my exam, but it definitely was not from the help of this app. The free questions they give you serve as a great “here’s the concepts you should know” review, but overall, there are better CISSP test prep sources out there. I don’t recommend purchasing the additional questions. Stick with the included free ones and read the CBK.
  • These practice questions are not even closed to the real exam.

    Not recommended
  • Could have more questions

Given that this app cost so much and the test is a monster, there should be 4x the amount of practice questions. Also, it would be nice to pick questions from certain domains in order to hone in on weak domains.

I am a disabled veteran with TBI. I have trouble retaining information which on one hand is excellent for IT and any job that takes into account changing tides of technology because it changes every 3 months and along with it so does the compliances, regulations and techniques to manage it. Requiring individuals in IT to research it. Yet some of these associations or organizations create their selves avenues to make money by creating tests to take to make their selves prominent and boost of look what I have. Regardless of the certification. In a couple weeks everyone forgets it. Yet for me i need it to get a job. Because ignorant companies think it makes a better employee. So this app helps me practice and remember a little longer the correct answers. Although I graduated magna cu laude in 2 IT degrees. Also created two inventions in which my professors stole and used in the companies they work for even using the same names of systems I created. These systems are currently the top rated security systems in IT! Talk about being robbed and not compensated or credited! They know As students we don't have the money to hire a lawyer so they get away with it.
