Until Google has a headsup display, I will be using crappy apps. As soon as they implement one, I will be back for sure!

I like this app. But I think is better if we can see the speed limit of my car in the app whole I’m driving.

First pesters you to download this, then can take you anywhere. It took me in a massive circle twice. I started back the way I came before my destination.

Sooo glad you added the speed limit like Waze! Now, just add the police reports!!! Googlemaps should absorb Waze and make the singular best driving app out there 😁

  • Tries too hard

I use google maps all the time. I’m only giving it one star because it tries way too hard one one hand to save me a few tenths of a mile and a few minutes of time on the suggested route but then gives alternates that take many miles and many minutes longer. Carson City NV to Truckee CA bypasses Incline Village by directing you onto a residential street, reverse that and it takes you through town. If anything that should be opposite. Going south through Bishop CA it routes you with 5 turns through residential streets instead of staying on the main highway with a single curve. I can’t imagine that city prefers their through traffic going down their residential streets instead of through their business district. And that’s not even shown as an option. I have to believe these are only a few of the absurd directions offered up by google maps across the world.

I’ve tried a few map apps and still find Google maps most reliable and usable. My only complaint is that I wished it showed more routes or let me click on a street in the app to see the estimated time going that way. I have a few possible routes home from work, but google maps now tends to show me only the main two and a third route is actually my preferred way, if the traffic isn’t backed up. I think it used to show me that route, but now it doesn’t. Please show more options or let us select a route. Thanks!
  • Need more bus options.

Sometimes the best route for me is a single bus option without a transfer, and this app does not provide that. It only gives me the option to transfer between buses even though one bus gives me the actual route that I need. There needs to be an option to see where one bus route takes me, so I don’t have to transfer everywhere to get me where on bus would drop me off.
