Love the app, it is incredibly helpful and obviously one of the best language apps. I would love to learn ASL and hope that it becomes an option in the future.

I’ve enjoyed the app. I took Spanish in high school 30 years ago and none of it stuck. This app is the beginning of learning a language all over again. Thanks for the fun! Gracias

  • Dictation breaks learning

Since the last update that wants to use dictation it almost always says I’m wrong when speaking French. The old system was much better.

This app is fantastic and keeps getting better with each update. The bots are my favorite part- it really challenges me to conjure up - and apply- the correct vocabulary and grammar in a way that the regular lessons don't. I wish that there was an option in settings to make the app more challenging- primarily by replacing multiple choice answers with blank text fields. For English speakers using Spanish, many words are similar to English, so it's easy to guess the word even if you haven't learned it yet. I also would like to see the multiple choice answers become more challenging- instead of having 2 completely irrelevant answers and one clear correct answer, it would be great to instead show different conjugations or tenses of the same word. That would force me to learn those more thoroughly. I also don't like that it took so long to unlock the "numbers" chapter. That one should have been first! Overall, amazing app, and I'm grateful that it's free - like education should be ;)
  • Fun, but I'm not learning much

This app is fun and easy to use, but it doesn't teach you how to actually speak Spanish. Mainly it just teaches you to memorize words and phrases, but there is no context. It would be difficult to be in a situation where you had to speak Spanish on demand and be able to do so. I can "get by" on my current knowledge of Spanish, but even starting at the basic level I find this to be of little use other than maybe as an adjunct to other learning.
