    Wonderful collection!
  • How many YEARS will it take to correct download function?!

I’ve been using this app for over a year now and from the very beginning till the latest update in 2019 it has had the same bug related to inability to download audiobooks. I have reported this problem 3 times and each time I receive a similar response of “we are hear to help you” but in reality the problem persists and has not be properly addressed. Why is it so difficult to resolve this I don’t understand when for example amazon’s audible or the Economist app can so easily download audio files to an iPhone.
  • Scribd is not “unlimited” !

After you listen to a couple of audiobooks in a month they don’t allow you to listen to any more until the next billing cycle. They say that the service is “unlimited”, but it is not. They are lying. If you only listen to one or two books a month then you won’t run into this problem, but for those avid listeners out there this is a huge problem.
  • Good and Bad

So there’s both good and frustrating sides to this app. Good: 1. Its cheaper than audible or other services I’ve found- and most books I don’t really care to add to my library anyway because I’ll most likely only read or listen to once, so I don’t need the audible purchase option. Bad: 1. It says “unlimited” but in reality it’s only “unlimited for the first 2 weeks. After 2 weeks most of the books I have bookmarked (that were showing as available) will all of a sudden say “this title will be available on (whatever my renewal date is).” I sent a query about this and was told that it’s because titles are constantly rotating, but I looked on a friends app and the titles I wanted showed as available to her. It’s really just a ploy to get you to renew your subscription each month. Super frustrating!!! (Note: There’s still books available to me at that point, just none that I specifically want). 3. The player works well about 65% of the time. Lately it’s been stopping at the end of every chapter or jumping back two chapters and I have to re-find my place manually— also annoying. For how many books I listen to, it’s still the best deal though.
  • “Unlimited” is a lie

Great service, nice selection, just be aware after a certain number of titles, the entire selection shuts down, saying it will be available the day your subscription renews. Be sure you want to listen to the books you start to listen to because otherwise you are screwed until next month
  • IMPOSSIBLE TO UPDATE VIA iTUNES 12.6.3

11 Feb. 2019: I am writing this one-star review to notify developers that Apple has a major problem on their iTunes App Store. Since Thursday 7 Feb. 2019, it has been impossible to update apps or download new app purchases via the iTunes 12.6.3 iOS app store running on mac OS. The last time there was a problem like this, with multiple broken app URLs, Apple would not listen to users reporting this problem until multiple bad reviews started posting and developers complained. So I am doing this to get the word out. Apple continues to treat its 12.6.3 iTunes clients like garbage, trying to force us to use their new paradigm for iOS app distribution that makes managing a corporate fleet of iOS devices a giant headache. Cut it out, Cook! Do the right thing and restore iTunes 12.6.3 functionality for the iOS app store. Thank you to all the developers who receive these negative reviews and raise this issue with Apple’s rude and neglectful technical support on behalf of users who no longer have a voice.

I have just started today, and is planning to cancel in the next few days with my free trail. I love the amount of books provided, but the thing is the membership. I’m really scared about it charging me next month even if I cancel. Then, all the bad reviews are freaking me out.
  • Truly the worst app ever

I paid and used it for about two weeks. All was fine. Then only some audio books were available then NO audio books were available. I contact the company 4 times with NO response. I bet they try to take the pay out. That they are on top of But no audio books and no response. That’s crap!
  • Scam, unlimited is BS

Claiming to offer unlimited is a blatant lie, I don’t know how they get away with it. People they screw over just delete the app and then their reviews go away. I guess if they’re never held accountable, they will never change their ways.

Every time I open the book I’m reading the app opens at the start of the book and I have to find where I left off. Not good.
