  • Awesome app!

I love this app! And now I hear it’s going away in a week!!! So bummed! What about all the stuff I’ve saved? Can I still access it?
  • Love the Texture App

I've had Texture for about 2 years and have saved a bunch of articles to read later and numerous other articles from Consumers Reports to review for possible purchases. These are in addition to articles I've read. It's like having your own personal library of all the popular and specialty magazines. I especially like the "Highlights" feature. Many of my saved articles were ones from the Highlights feature. As the name implies, it shows interesting articles from various magazines; many I would never look thru. I'm concerned that I won't have the same variety of magazines and special features when apple news takes over, such as History, Variety, etc.). I'm going to hope for the best. Texture was good while it lasted. I took it for granted.
  • The best magazine app, period.

    By Dickdickson789
The app is a great alternative to piles and piles of magazines. The user interface is easy. Keeping a collection of old issues is very useful. They keep adding magazines and this makes the app better as time goes by. I can see the top of my coffee table. Recently they've added weekly magazines. This increases the number to 80. The weekly addition requires a premium account that costs an additional five bucks per month. Currently they only have a few weekly magazines like Time and NY Magazine. I think it would be worth the extra cost if they had a dozen or so weeklies. Update: now plenty of weekly magazines. Sadly the app is scheduled to be retired in favor of Apple's News+. I use News+ and it doesn’t have near the quality and predictability of a user interface that Texture has. Maybe that will change soon. I hope so.
  • Really selling to Apple

    Was great on its own
  • Horrible replacement for texture

    By Henrbeach
This is a horrible replacement for texture. I can’t figure out where to find my magazines. I will stick with texture or cancel my news upgrade. Texture is so easy and apple news is just stories. I want to read magazines.
  • Love Texture

I can’t believe it’s going away! I will really miss access to all magazines
  • News+ magazine offering a poor replacement for Texture

    By NFry
News+’s magazine offering is very much an example of, “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it.” There is little need for improvement with Texture, the magazine app that News+ will soon replace. With Texture, magazines can be downloaded or deleted at will by the user, downloaded issues can be retained for as long as you like, and back issues are readily available (an especially valuable feature regarding Consumer Reports when a major consumer purchase is contemplated). Texture’s navigation is simple and intuitive. None of the above applies to New+ magazines. As for the newspaper offering, if none of the big national newspapers are available (Washington Post, NY Times, USA Today) what’s the point (admittedly the WSJ is a plus)? Given the current state of News +, I canceled the free trial after less than 24 hours and reinstated my Texture subscription, hoping Apple, after seeing all the negative user and print media reviews, will continue Texture beyond next month or include it unaltered as the magazine feature of News+
  • Great App

    By WoodburyGal
Thank you Texture for a great user experience! I really enjoy this app and wish it would continue. I’ve been slowly moving to News+ but that experience is so frustrating. I read magazines during my commute to work and don’t have access to the internet. Texture’s magazine download feature is so user friendly. News+ frustrates me because the magazines don’t stay downloaded. If I forget to open the app in the morning before I leave home, I can’t read the magazines that the day before had been downloaded. If the download and delete features can be updated in News+, I’ll be satisfied. Thank you Texture for the great app. I will miss using it!
  • Apple news + horrid-switched to Kindle newsstand

    By CareyAndrew
. I dumped Apple News, awful that it is (who could live that mess after experiencing Texture?) and got 10 magazine subscriptions on kindle for same price as the $120 a year of the news + app. And of course Kindle Newsstand has a perfect interface. Who needs more than 10 magazines anyway?
  • Apple News+ Do Not Work with Chromebook

    By 7171966
With Texture ending, Apple News+ not compatible with Chromebook. Unable to continue reading.
