  • Ok, but needs fixes

I have used the app for over a year. For the price it is functional, but often it freezes and i have to shut it down and reboot. It doesn’t allow me to adjust wall lengths very easily. It needs more options for everything in the library. I have purchased several add on furniture options, but it really needs updated pieces.

This was one of my favorite apps I have ever played. I love to design and decorate homes. I have used this app for a few years now and LOVED IT, but that all changed when they updated the interface. This app is now very slow and I can't do anything in timely manor. On 3D mode it's extremely hard to change the color having to go through many steps and the game continually lagging and sometimes completely shutting down. I do use this app on an older iPad, but I have tried it on other devices and it's still very laggy. I would love if this game would be took back to its older format where I CAN GET THINGS DONE!!! and enjoy this game again. This is still a great concept, I only wish the format could be reverted or changed back. I spend hours on this game, there was an occasional crash but I still loved this game and spend many hours on it. PLEASE CHANGE THE APP BACK TO THE ORIGINAL FORMAT!!!!
  • Too complicated

Too much shenanigans, not very straight forward and you have to just tap things to find out what they do.
  • Wont connect?

Purchased this app and use it for work for the last six months. Now suddenly it tells me it won’t connect since I got a new iPad. Very frustrating especially after I paid for it, not happy.

App keeps freezing after 10 minutes of use. Should be updated more often.
  • Really love it, but there is room for improvement.

Update: I am more than a little peeved. I just lost 40+ designs because of a catastrophic crash of the app. Unlike previous crashes, it did not reboot itself, but instead wanted me to send an email. It never recovered, and I had to delete and reload the app. I was able to recover my purchases, but not my saved designs. Considering that my kitchen renovation plans were on there, I will now have to redo all of those. This would be a great product if Chief Architect would put in the money to fix the glitches and add more content. Probably the most annoying thing (other than the crashing) is the inability to make a short wall by a toilet, refrigerator, etc. Also, it would be nice if there was an electrical package or two (switches, outlets, fuse boxes, etc). One of the other things that I am pretty constantly wishing for is a pocket door. Some base cabinets with drawers would be helpful as well. Earlier Review: I have used Chief Architect on my desk top for years. That being said, I also haven't used my desktop for the past three years so I was really pleased to find this version in time to help my daughter plan her dorm room. The 3D rendering in this app is awesome which helped my dd visualize better than the 2D. Copying my basic plan, I was able to easily change the square footage for best and worst case scenarios to show her what kind of storage she could accommodate. The generic boxes are very useful, and I was able to represent the floor cushions we got for her room. By using the boxes and the paint option in 3D, you can create adequate representations of objects that are not available in current collections. That being said, I agree with another reviewer that being able to add your own carpet or fabric would be an improvement. My husband and daughter both have good imaginations, but they don't extend into the realm of decorating as much. As for collections that I would like to see, one with basic, standard dorm furniture would be great. More curtain variations such as one curtain pulled back to the side would be useful. Tower fans, floor fans, and table fans would also be nice. Towel bars would be good, too. Considering that we will be doing this for the next 4 yrs at least. I don't mind buying more content.

Love the app but need more choices in textiles, furnishings and cabinets, also should be able to turn the textiles to white if there isn’t any.
