    Love this app (I use the free version). Not only does the StrongLifts program provide a smart way to train for increased strength, it does so while taking the thinking out of it (when using this app). I’ve really enjoyed the frequency of compound lifts, the rate of progressive overload, and the confidence I’ve built by improving my form. Definitely recommend this app.

    I’ve had this app for over a year now and it’s honestly one of the best in simplicity. Most apps I feel like it takes to much time to log the most recent set or you have to add weight on the log for your next work out while this app is literally just one tap and you rest some before next set. Only reason I didn’t give it a perfect 5 rating is because I’ve paid for the full app since day one and not much, if anything, has changed in the last year for the app when I use it. Now it wants a yearly subscription (understandable since its not easy/free to improve on apps) and I’m all for it but only if I see some additions I was hoping would have been added by now... 1) setting how long you want your in between sets rest to be. I’d like to set it to 30-60 sec instead of the 130sec. Small, but helpful when you are limited on time or want to increase intensity. 2) slightly more room for customization, especially on the core exercises. I understand it’s 5x5, but if I can “make up” exercises and add them, why not increase the 5x5 limit to 5x8-5x10 if people want to, or at the very least, 5x5 for all exercises (looking at you deadlifts...). I also would like to be able to remove squats from the bench press session as I try to lift daily and I can’t do squats daily, but if I skip them in the app, it marks it as a “fail” and when it’s time to do squats, it lowers the weight... 3) this is a bigger one and it would be worth the subscription 100%... add a “C” routine to give you 3 work outs to rotate through. Make it only subscribers can use it and add some smaller exercise that would be great in between the current A-B sessions for people who want to work out daily/5times a week. Having something that doesn’t have squats in it to use in between the other 2 sessions would be fantastic. Honestly, having B moved to C and adding an in between session alone would make this app perfect even if my first 2 points was ignored completely. Anyways, those points aside, this is a great app for beginners and I highly recommend it if you are looking to achieve a new PR. It’s worth the first cost 100%, but need more customization/content for it to be worth the yearly subscription...

    Rating 4 stars because I followed the guide to restore my power pack and lost all my workout history. Make sure to link up with google or facebook before you uninstall the app. The data does not get stored on the apple cloud.

    Great app for everything in my strength training workout routine. Helps with weight stacking, progression, and timing. Just needs an Apple Watch app so I can log reps without getting my phone out.

    As a lady it is hard to find a weight lifting program that isn’t too technical but still gives you a good workout (male workouts vs women’s). -I am so sick of the suggested workouts magazines say women should do. Nothing but body weight, lame! The true key to weight loss and maintaining everything is having enough muscle to burn your fat and food throughout the day. Finally a comprehensive program that hits all of the main body muscle groups in an easy to use format. The app is a breeze. The goals are reasonable (if you cant make a lift weight, drop the weight by 10% and try again) and easy to manage and track in the app. Meanwhile, a few clicks on my phone has me zipping through the work out -takes 20-30 minutes- and looks like I belong in the gym with all of the male gym rats! Love this app and love this program!!!
  • Really buggy—and getting worse

    I’ve used this app for years now and different devices. I used to love it, however the iPhone app on my phone is often unusable. Often, I find the app freezing and crashing. It has this cool feature where sessions restart, or the screens endlessly “flip” when I click between workouts and warmups. Often the screen simply freezes and becomes unresponsive to any clicks.

    I’ve had it in the past, super loved it, saw results. Stopped using it, well because I got lazy. So I re-download it, and now I can’t even use it at all, app just crashes. Tried re-deleting and downloading again, nothing changes. Tried restarting phone, making sure I have updated software, still no fix.

    This is the first workout I’ve ever tried that I’ve seen results fast and I’m not burnt out yet. 3 days a week with 30 minute workouts is my kind of gig. Legitness!
