App Reviews

  • Quality journalism but article needs work

App needs work. No way to view latest articles first. No way to filter out Spanish language articles or select your language preference.
  • Misleading

LA Times continues to be extremely Left of center. High taxes. Anti Business. Queen of Political Correctness Tiny

I really enjoy this app. Super fast.
  • Impossible to find anything

Sure I love the LA Times and the e newspaper but honestly it is impossible to find anything else. Want the name and recommended dishes from a Peruvian restaurant review you read a couple weeks ago? Well it’s gone and I hope you printed it or screen shot it because searching by exact title, author, or even restaurant name provides bupkis.

It was fine before, but now my device would turn really hot while using it, something wrong with the codes
  • I would give it 5 stars but...

I have a subscription through the App Store and for some reason that doesn’t mean anything to the people at the LA times. They still cap my articles at 3 per month. I have sent emails to their support with no response so here I am complaining in public. I will change it to 5 stars when they fix this. If they don’t fix it by the end of this month I will cancel the subscription I have had for over a decade.
  • Independently owned news essential ‼️

In this day & age of the ‘Rupert regime’ independently owned news outlets with honest journalism is key‼️ Keep up the good work 🤗
  • Still a loser

The App rarely displays articles from the print edition that match my interests. The Search function often cannot find articles - and the newspaper display is not a reliable way to share articles with friends. Links in emailed newsletters do link to my phone’s browser, but when I go the next step to view an article in the App instead I see the Top News section - and the article I want to read is nowhere to be found. The App displays multiple Headlines of identical articles within a given Section. This has been true for years; little improvement. LA Times should start over and build an App like the one offered by NY Times.

Works well but I wish it was more like the eNewspaper. What it gives me is the log on to use the ereaders and news aggregator apps
