Lynda.com is a great tool for the adult learner. It provides a Just In Time (JIT) learning platform for busy professionals. If you need to be brought up to speed quickly on a topic, Lynda.com is your solution. Love it.

The app won’t let me log in with the school’s portal. But I can with Safari as well as on my Android devices and computers
  • Fantastic App!

Lynda.com has numerous helpful videos to help you with work, life, hobbies, software, computers, smartphones, and other. The app is easy to use and it keeps up with where you are in the video and you can access it with your smartphone, tablet, or computer and it knows where you left off. The playlist is helpful for adding new course you want to take. There's a nice download feature that allows you to download the courses while your on wifi, so you can watch later when you aren't on wifi or no cell coverage. Great app!
  • Impossible to drag playback thumb in full screen

When playing a video in full screen, grabbing the video playback thumb/head and dragging it, in order to move forward/backward in time, is not possible. 1. Put the video into full screen on an iPad. 2. Try dragging the video playback thumb/head backwards/forward. You cannot. It is impossible to grab a hold of it. In case you manage to do it, flip the iPad from landscape to portrait (or vice versa) and try it again. Not possible. iPad 6 iOS 12.1

  • Terribly broken sign in experience

Like others have stated, the sign in experience is awful. I’m able to login with my LinkedIn account but apparently I also then have to login with a Lynda.com account, despite the fact that I have no Lynda.com account of which I am aware. Who knows, I may have had a Lynda.com account at some point in the past but I have no idea what the credentials would be at this point. Unable to login. Zero stars.
  • Wonderful.

The only thing missing is a Politics category. Constitution 101, The political process, How to change laws, become a delegate, etc.
  • Love Lynda.com

I am bitterly sorry that Lynda.com is now a part of Linkedin. I love Lynda, so easy to use, very good courses. I used to have a Linkedin account, cancelled it when they became controlling, grabby and forward with my info, worse than Facebook. I hate Linkedin!!!!! So sorry I will now probably lose my Lynda.com. This is NOT progress!!! So sorry.

I’ve subscribed for 6 years now and Lynda.com is my go-to place to learn about audio/ video content and usage. It is easy to use, always on tap, inexpensive compared to bricks and mortar colleges/universities, but most of all, the people who do the sessions are competent, and they seem to enjoy their work, which makes you want to learn more. Five stars.
