  • Interesting?!?

    By Zeeknmom
Been on here on and off for about three years at least and still haven’t found a guy I thought was worth going on a date with I don’t know what that means or says about me the the guys on this app but I know it’s hard for me to find the ones that r worthy to bc so many are on here for the wrong reason and I much rather take the time to know someone as much as I can before I’ll meet them so idk I am hopeful since it’s free n being a single mom you don’t meet new ppl very often so I’m still hoping that at least one or a few decent guys are on here for the right reasons n that could be a good match for me .

  • Not signing up

The app is not working, it asks for signing up and then always says something went wrong try again later , any solutions please?

the fact that they ask questions and match you means it’s not just like regular people it’s almost like job matches on LinkedIn
  • My review of OK Cupid

    By Frankiejdee
I've tried a few dating sites most of which got low marks. This one seems legit. I've just set up arrangements to meet my second and all is good. There are plenty enough local women using site that you can find potential matches. I definitely recommend this site!
  • Needs LOTS of work

UI (word that starts with S)! Too easy to do the wrong input.
  • Phoney

    By padonski
Pretty every person I have talked to on this site have put a local address and when you finally get it out of them where they are it’s hundreds of miles away , and they all say the same old thing most are just scammers trying to get money from you
  • Current version messaging is broken

    By NR from C
They emphasize the value of the messaging, and the range of people you can message, or that can message you. What they don’t say- is that initial messages don’t go to the conversation list- Instead- ( quoting from their support page) “Anyone who has sent you a message will have blue around their photo in your search results. We'll place them towards the top so you don't miss them.” Or “If someone has sent you a message, you'll see "They messaged you!" along with their photos - we always make sure you know who has messaged you, and we put them towards the top of your DoubleTake queue if they sent you a message, so you won't miss them!” I have gone through every person that the app would show me who was online when I was messaged, and NONE of them had a blue border, or showed that they had messaged me. I tried going through app support. I received an auto response with the information above. As requested, I replied to the auto-response. Support has not responded. Based on this experience- I have no reason to assume any message I send will be readable either. Messaging as implemented is broken. And the decision to hide messages in the first place is also counterproductive. As a side note, you can only browse people with at least a 50% match, so the claim you can message anyone is also false. The questions are all superficial. And while some of that can be valuable, having some depth questions or nuanced questions would improve matching for people that don’t just want to hook up. I have heard good things about okCupid in the past. However I’d wait for the next release before trying them now. The current version is broken, and recent design changes are to make it more like tinder, and less about connecting people. I apologize to the people I have not been able to reply to- I simply cannot find your messages. Update: Support did contact me, and the blue outline in browse mentioned above only appears if a) they have messaged you and b) they are on and active when you check. Otherwise, it’s happenstance to come across them in the tinder like swipe feature, called DoubleTake, where folks that have paid to boost their visibility are shown first. The effect of this is the app is a broken version of tinder unless you pay to enable the features that make it different ( and hope the folks you are trying to connect with are also paying ). I totally get people wanting to be paid for their work. However they double the price unless you signup for a recurring subscription. The subscription continues until you hunt it down and cancel it. It’s clear they have forgotten the purpose of the app, which is to connect people, based on common interests, and instead just want to connect with your wallet.
  • It’s ok( get it)?

    By MsinMAis
They could certainly improve the free version. I would like to see who likes me without having to pay for that. What’s the purpose of having the like and doesn’t like swipe feature if you can’t find out who it is?
  • Still fun but I miss the random open questions

    By Happyhappyjoijoijoi
Have met some people on here but not as much fun as it used to be. The random weird open questions were what made it awesome. Still, gotta love the blog’s data stories about weird correlations.
