    Became slow and confusing
  • low volume on iphone 10

I was very happy with the app., imo better than google and apple maps. Not sure what happened, but the volume is to low to understand while driving. Apple and google maps blow me away, at same volume level. This makes your app a driving hazard, because you must keep eyes on screen. just downloaded newest update same issue. I know the iphone x is another apple terd, but this problem has existed for the past few updates. Plenty of time to address issue. After near collision and several missed turns, I must say good bye to waze.
  • Really like the app

Great app. Easy to use. Like how it saves me time by providing different routes. 1 request I have though is to have always show what would have been ‘normal’ (route even it has the most traffic at the time) so I could compare it against the optional ones.
  • No way to avoid HazMat restrictions

By All nicknames are taken not
Unable to set route to avoid HazMat restrictions - essential for anyone with an RV using propane
  • Great with quirks

Adding this. When you get in when away it asks “headed home” then screen goes away. I punch in address where I really want to go. Next thing I realize I’m on my way home !!!!!! Fix that. All in all I love the app. I think all the good stuff is been said over and over again, as Waze has quite a cult following, justifiably so. Would love to give it for a five stars but the flaws/quirks ... I won't at this time. When you get into your vehicle and start to travel it takes a while for waze to know where you are. And it's even worse if you move your car during the day before you go on another trip. it seems completely lost and takes a bit of time. The graphics are childish. The build up of traffic icons look more like a roast beef or a football then a group of cars. Sometimes it takes you on odd shortcuts (I'm in the New York area) and it will have you make or attempt to have you make turns and stuff that it's just not possible with the traffic situation. The algorithms for a length of trip seem to be based on history and average, which obviously they have to do but with that said the map is not routed before hand in terms of time so the time given to you when you leave may not be correct often. It does adjust as you start driving but it's not giving you an accurate time when you leave. Additionally navigating tight turns for a quick times can be tough as when you make the turn sometimes it seems to take a while before the GPS catches up to where you are.
  • How do you end the route?

I like this app. It keeps track of traffic and warns of slow-downs. Unfortunately I found that if I arrive at my destination, the app may not know I have arrived and will keep giving me unneeded directions. I had to turn my iPhone off when that occurred. I turned my device back on and the app is okay for another destination, if desired. All in All, much better than Apple's Siri. All of a sudden, the volume shut off. I cannot be driving and have to keep looking down at the screen. There must be a way to make sure Waze speaks, overriding the volume control system, if mistakenly changed. Another issue: I need the ability to alter directions when on surface streets. Example: when in diwntown San Mateo, the directions always sends me to 3rd avenue with at least 6 traffic lights. I turn on Humboldt and turn left on Chilton instead. There are only 2 lights and 2 stop signs to get to my destination street (North San Mateo Drive). Also, the instructions usually send me to 101 North to 3rd avenue. I take 3rd avenue from 92 W in Foster City. This saves me time as 101 North is always crowded. Idk how to change that. Siri always commands that I make u-turns to comply with their instructions. Geez! Maybe accessing the map so I can change the directions on a particular route.

Waze saves me on the daily. There are times that I end up on a crappy route but I think that’s mainly because those are times when you’re screwed regardless. I don’t leave home without it!
  • Keeps getting better - 1 flaw recently found

    By DSchebler
This app is great , been using for years and it just keeps getting better thanks ! The feature that allows you to select the best time to leave based on your arrival time is great Recently trying to use that feature but check for the next day or 2 days ahead , it would seem to work on it but then eventually just return an error message Would love to see that working well Thx
  • “Routing server timed out”

    By Bekuz_Ikan
Thank god I have Apple Map to fall back on, time and time again I have addresses that Wase can’t plot me to; all I get is “routing server timed out”. I try other random addresses in surrounding towns and then it can plot a trip. I NEVER have this issue with Apple Map. 🤔
  • Routing is bad pop up ads are dangerous

    By Bauer 77
The route selection has decreased in functionality over time and now I tend to be stuck in the worst route possible by the time it suggests a new route. Add to this the “helpful “ pop ups reminding me to car pool or check gas prices in the middle of my route and blocking my view of the map. These require me to be physically clear them on the screen taking my attention off of the road, bad idea for a navigation app. I’m removing from my phone.
