Sleep Cycle alarm clock App Details

Waking up made easy Sleep Cycle is an intelligent alarm clock that tracks your sleep patterns and wakes you up in light sleep - the natural way to wake up, feeling rested and energized. No need to place your device in bed - Sleep Cycles uses sound analysis sleep tracking. How it works • As you sleep, you go through different sleep phases, ranging from light to deep sleep and back again. The sleep phase you are in when your alarm goes off is critical for how rested you will feel when you wake up. • While you sleep, your movements vary depending on what sleep phase you are in. Sleep Cycle’s patented sound technology tracks your sleep patterns using sound or vibration analysis, monitoring your movements in bed throughout the different sleep phases. • Sleep Cycle finds the optimal time when you are in light sleep to wake you up in the morning, during a predefined 30 minute time window that ends at your set alarm time. Waking up in light sleep feels like waking up naturally without an alarm, leaving you feeling rested and energized. • All you need to do is turn Sleep Cycle on before going to bed, and place your device on your nightstand or close by on the floor. Glad I got this app 5 years ago when it was $5
  • Disappointing

Honestly the idea is very nice and could work fantastically... however, the experience itself has been disappointing. Originally I downloaded the app because of the snore “controlling/avoiding” feature that was removed a few months ago... I was so excited at the time that I subscribed for a whole year after the trial expired... in hindsight this was a mistake, but now the bill has been paid already... Being fair, I do agree with the idea of removing a functionality if it’s not working reliably or as intended. It’s ok as long as after removing a realistic roadmap to restore it is established, specially considering an app that charges you 30 usd a year... wasn’t the case... Then, after a month since the launch of the new Apple Watch (and 3 month of beta of watchOS 5) there is no update in sight, the app is extremely unreliable on the watch and works only when it wants... the user interface is completely broken on Apple Watch 4 and the compilation is not showing on the picked when creating new watch faces... all around a level of support that would be disappointing from a free app, now imagine the feeling of having paid 30 usd for it...
  • Alarm turned off by itself

I am so mad at the app. Been using the paid service for a half year now. This is the first time the alarm didn’t go off when I needed to be up early. The stats showed a short nap for half an hour after I went to bed. I can not afford this another time.
  • Some problems...

I have been using this as my primary alarm for over a year and a half and it’s been great. I’ve had no problem with it in the past. However lately I have had a major issue with it. It has made me late to open at my job 2 weeks in a row. I’m supposed to be there at 4:30am so I have an alarm set for 3:30am. However, last two mondays, they either have not gone off, or just have stopped working completely. Any way to fix this?

No longer works as an alarm clock with the new iOS update. Don’t trust it. Used it for over a year - but now i don’t dare.
  • Pretty decent

I have had this app for years but stopped using it. One thing I don’t like is that it wakes me up before I’m supposed to wake up. I know that’s what it’s for and it’s supposed to wake you up at your most awake time but I hate waking up before I’m supposed to lol
  • Great app but “Activity” needs fixing

I’ve been using this app for many years now and generally love it. I am not sure how accurate it really is but I like having a sense for my sleep patterns in general. They need to fix a major bug in the activity reading. Don’t know where Sleep Cycle pulls this data, but I’ve noticed in past couple of weeks that the number of steps is vastly off from what Apple Health reports. For example the other day SC reported 890 steps where AH had almost 8,000. PLEASE FIX!!!
  • Useless- can’t tell when you’re sleeping at all.

Thinks I’m in a deep sleep when I am wide awake. Thinks I’m sleep cycling when I’m not even in the room. I tried this app- it became apparent very quickly that it can’t tell when I am sleeping or not- at all. When I am laying in bed wide-awake, it thinks I’m going through a sleep cycle. The other night I was awake at 3 AM for a few hours, and it had me in a deep sleep. I even got up and went to the bathroom. Today I forgot to turn it off and walked out of the room after waking up early in the morning, I came back two hours later to turn it off, and you had me going through to sleep cycles. It clearly doesn’t work.
  • Need some enhancements

If you use the application in winter time it is great but in summer time when you turn on your Air condition window type it's not correct measurements
