Maybe it’s because I’m a novice (so take that for what it is) but I tried 10 other apps before Runkeeper. I’m a beginner but it has tons of data that has helped me personally and developing plans is a snap. I’ve used the hiking and other features which are awesome. Great app!

Doesn’t always track my activity correctly. I find myself manually inputting my workouts more often than not.

Love the free app, been using it since 2013. I love it, I love all the features you get for a free app. This past I’ve noticed that I got inexplicably, significantly faster. I run the same route every day and my mile time dropped from ~7 to 4:30 overnight. When I checked my run map, it showed all kinds of zigs and zags I didn’t take. This has happened 4 or 5 nights in a row. I think the GPS service needs an update. It could be the area I’m running through causing interference, but I didn’t have these issues last week. Cheers!
  • Run Keeper Rules!

I’ve been using Runkeeper to track my runs for over a year now. So far, I have no complaints. I switched from Under Armors Track My Run app after a few technical issues and general unhappiness with the user interface. Runkeeper is definitely a step up in terms of easy of use, functionality, and overall performance. . The app also has a “stopwatch mode” for activities not requiring GPS tracking like indoor biking or rowing. I would recommend to anyone who’s a beginner-advanced runner or looking to log exercise activity.

It could be me; it could be my phone; but I suspect the Runkeeper app. For no apparent reason, it will stop tracking an activity. This is probably a sign that I should keep a paper log, and just enjoy my workouts.
  • Pauses walk too often

It’s set up for walks but pauses while I’m walking. I need to keep the app open to manually resume it.
  • Free app version

I use the free version which I’m quite happy with. But it doesn’t seem to give the number of steps and maybe a few other things that would be nice so for this reason I’m rating the app with 4 out of 5 stars. Maybe the pay for version may provide steps details as part of it’s features.
  • Good app for running but GPS needs work

I’ve enjoyed Runkeeper for nearly three years now, tracking all of my runs. I credit it, in part, with helping me shave four minutes off my 5k. However, the GPS is too often spotty and has grown noticeably worse since ASICS acquired Runkeeper.
  • Love it except for...

Every few months my app goes a little crazy and has me running 4 minute miles 🤣 I have to delete the app and download it again. Other than that I totally love it!
