App Reviews

  • Amazing app, but has some bugs

    By Taylor.Lynn
I really enjoy the interface and food ratings! This has been a go-to app for me lately. My issues are with the exercise portion of the app. 1) My steps stop importing from health kit at least 1-2 times a week. In order to fix, I have to uninstall the app and re-download, and then deal with restoring my premium purchase, which is not easily done. 2) Exercise calories are often double counted. For instance, if my active calories from health kit include steps and workouts, it will import each workout separately with separate active calories, but then it also imports the total active calories for the day as “active energy.” These active energy calories already include the same workouts that were imported, thus appearing as if I burned more than I really did.
  • Overly Restrictive

    By DesparateDarter
The app is beautiful and incredibly user friendly. However, don’t let the “Free” label fool you, to get any value out of this app you must upgrade to premium, which is a fairly pricey, monthly fee. This space is too crowded for an app that doesn’t let you modify daily macros or view micronutrient counts, not to mention having you take a “lifescore” test, which doesn’t offer any insights unless you upgrade to premium!
  • All the features!

    By Afaye2005
Everything I didn’t know I was missing in those other food tracking apps. Love that it correlates with a diet plan and adjusts for your individual needs. Love that it connects with my Fitbit so I don’t have to enter as much data. Love the tips and reminders to help me know I’m doing alright and keep me on track with the plan. Love that I can save groups of foods as a meal and reuse it again next time I eat the same meal without hunting down each individual ingredient again. Button line, love.
  • Good app not as good

    By SRMccar12329
Looking up foods is harder in this app than other apps because the lists are not as extensively designed as other diet tracker apps. And the options for portion size are limited. I often use my fitness pal to really look up a food and the portion I need and then manually put it in this app. May stop using because of this.
  • Nutrition

  • Lifesum is my health consultant

I strongly recommend everyone to upgrade to premium who are currently using this app as you will unlock a world realization and awareness. Those who are not using this app, you are really missing something. Kudos to Lifesum for coming up with such a great app.
  • It’s awesome, and worth the premium buy

    By foshxzzle
It recommends food diet plans for you specifically after taking a personality test. You can log everything you eat and it counts calories. When you enter what exercises you do, it subtracts from the calories you’ve eaten. I love love love it!
  • Fantastic, but...

    By Person in the universe
I actually love this app. I run long distance, so it’s important that I make sure I get enough calories to fuel me. The only issue (and it’s major) is that I don’t have the premium version of the app, so I can’t access what feels like 80% of the functionality of this app. I wish that you could buy certain parts of it, such as the day rating, without shelling out $50 a year. Otherwise, Lifesum is clean, functional, and helpful!
  • Helpful for tracking my keto diet

    By EcoVeganGal
Great app! Downloaded it to help me track my keto macros. I love how it easy it is to type in the food I’m eating. The scanner is especially impressive because it recognizes most foods with barcodes. Also love that it syncs to Apple Health. Only downside is how many features are limited to premium and how often that’s advertised (kind of annoying). Since I just got the app I’m not sure I want to pay $30+ for it a year, but if I continue using it a lot then I might upgrade to get more features.
  • Not a great idea.

Well I’m underweight for my height. So it won’t allow me to even enter it because it asks if my weight is a mistake.... thanks for making it more depressing. It’s my real weight and height too. I have a malsorption issue looking for a planner and this one is terrible.
