  • Read before paying!

I should have read the comments before paying to upgrade to Pro. As others have stated, you have to pay for EACH platform you want to use it on. Developer should state that on their web site. Not documenting it is sneaky!
  • Pretty great

I love this ap and how (most often) it inputs all of the info from a recipe link. Sometimes the info doesn't populate and I have to do it manually. I love the categories. My only wish is that on the Home screen it looked a bit less confusing. Because it places the recipe in a category album , and most of my recipes have a few categories, the Home page looks visually repetitive.

I LOVE this app and I tell everyone I know about it. For all of you boo-hooing about using it on your phone, it isn't that big a deal. I started on my phone and have used it on my phone for several years now. I love that I can schedule a meal and shoot it to my shopping list, plus add anything else I want to that list. I love that I can decide what I want to make during the day at work and go right to the grocery store with a list of the ingredients I know I will need. I love that i can share with fellow users and those who aren't users (aka my husband when it's his turn to cook). I've had a suggestion (nutrition count a couple years ago -- yeah that was added recently!!) and a problem where tried and true websites suddenly wouldn't load. I emailed the programmers and had a response within hours. This is the best $5 I have ever spent and I would have no problems paying another $5 to get it on my Mac if I determine it is even necessary. With an ipad it syncs to, I'm not sure it is but this program is so worth it I'm fine doing another $5. I had looked at so many recipe programs but nothing provided all that this one provides. If I could, I'd give it 10 stars! Buy it .... you'll be glad you did!!
  • The reciipe app that I have been waiting for

I have tried many recipe apps before, but all have fallen short in one way or another. Recipe Keeper ticks all of the boxes for me. Importing recipes directly off the web is a great feature. Having control over your recipes on your own hardware and being able to make your own back ups is a big plus for me. The user experience is great accross all devices. Customer support is very responsive and helpful. Well done!

If you use a Mac but have a non-Apple phone, BE ADVISED: they will force you to buy this app TWICE. You have to buy it once to "log in" on your non-iPhone and, when you install the companion app on your Mac, you will be forced to BUY THE APP AGAIN just to log-in using the credentials you already paid for on your phone. If you do not purchase the companion app, you won't be allowed to enter your credentials to synch. Quite a racket for a glorified list keeper.

One of my favorite features is that you can import recipes from the Internet. I also really like the organization that it provides and that you can add Courses and Categories of your own choosing. Super customizable!
  • Simple, effective app!

The overall functionality of Recipe Keeper is on point. I use all aspects of the app, including storing recipes, meal planning, and making grocery lists. The interface is quite simple, but customizable in all the critical areas. It would be nice to be able to set a different thumbnail photo for the recipe and to be able to delete photos. It's unfortunate that we have had to purchase the app for each device we use (which adds up), but hopefully the cash will keep Recipe Keeper coming out with new updates because it's a keeper itself.

I really hate that I purchased the Pro because i loved this app and read that i can sync to my iphone. but that is not the case. Im not paying for this app twice. false advertising! deleted the app on my phone but since i paid for it on my macbook guess ill keep it!

I have paid much more for recipe apps (and I have a few!) which I paid a lot more money for and none of them work as quick or easy as this. I tried the free version, pulled in 1 recipe from a web site and immediately purchased the full version. This is a keeper that anyone would love to have. I stumbled on it by accident and could not be more pleased.

I have been using this app for a little over a year now (started with the iphone app at first). I was happy to see that they rolled out a mac desktop version. This app is so incredibly easy to use and I love the import option to add recipes from different websites. This app is worth paying for. It's a small price to pay for what you get.
