App Reviews

  • Great app.

This app is great! I love that you can put in your marathon and the date and it creates a plan for you. Effortless.
  • Glitchy

Too many technical issues: I had to contact the team for help when it would not let me enter a rest period. And when it was scheduling a 5 mile long run in prep for a half marathon (that was the longest run in the plan 3 weeks leading up to the race). That’s a recipe for injury. The interface takes months to get used to and figure out certain features- like entering your test instead of assuming you rested bc nothing was entered. Also, the spin dials for entering time are annoying. Why can’t I just type in my time? It would be faster. Not sure my plan is built for an increased speed since the times do not change on projected race time.
  • Not user friendly

I love the idea behind this app but it is poorly executed. Runners World needs to reach out to some of the users of this app and make some changes.
  • Great customer service

We had some login issues today, and confusion with Family Sharing. The customer service was wonderful. After a couple of back and forth emails, our issues were solved.
  • Almost there

Overall very pleased with the app, but two things I hope can be in the next (or very soon) update: (1) Any manual updates I make in the app to a workout imported from Apple Health seem to be overwritten the next time the app syns with Health. There needs to be a backend flag to either not import previously sync’d workouts or to not reimport if the workout has been updated by the user (2) Needs an Apple Watch app the allows me to start/execute my training plan workouts from the watch. I don’t run with my phone and have zero desire to start.
  • Not individualized at all

    By Meg from Philly
I really didn’t find this app worth the $. I requested a plan for a half marathon training and was given a completely unrealistic plan. I sent a message to one of the coaches & got a very generic & quick response. I’m an experienced half marathon runner & was looking for specific guidance re: speed training, etc. Also the app had some issues. I was disappointed and just cancelled.
  • Continue to charge

Quit the app but company has still charging my account months later
  • App won’t open

    By bnwatson
Cannot get back into the app. Brings me to a screen to choose a subscription and when I select one, it tells me I’m already subscribed (which I am). I’ve deleted and redownloaded. App is up to date.
  • Doesn’t work

    By User118263737
I can’t log on. I get an error or it just crashes every time I try. And the link to app support is just a sales pitch for the app itself
  • Poor performance for a paid app

I’ll start with the good. The training programs this app produces are good and they have helped me run faster without injury so far. The app, however, has far too many bugs to be worth paying for when free apps are more reliable. My major frustration is that the app periodically makes random changes to my training plan. I have been using this app to train for a marathon for three months. This morning when I went to look at the week ahead, the marathon had been removed as my goal race. When I reset the marathon to be my goal race, all the fitness progress I have made was lost. This means that my upcoming long runs were shortened and the app wants me to train at a slower pace than the pace I had been running for weeks! These kinds of things have happened a few times. There are also minor frustrations with this app. I often get a “GPS signal low” alert when I am running under open sky near my home in a relatively urban area. There is no alert for when GPS strength has returned. The auto pause function doesn’t work well; often I will be standing still for more than a minute and it will not pause the workout. Conversely, if I pause the workout to use the restroom and then set my phone on the counter, it will automatically resume the workout. To summarize, this app seems to create a decent workout plan but epically fails to reliably incorporate smart phone features and store individual data. Hold off on subscribing until they can improve these faults!
