  • Challenges

The app is amazing but it’s a little upsetting because my brother tried to challenge me to play basketball games with him. He uses the regular version of messenger but when he challenged me the game would not even pop up. When I click in play it was like I was poking the screen for my excitement
  • Gifs

Actual messenger app doesn’t let you send gifs to kids, but the kids have the option to send them
  • Only works on phone

    By megb21
This app works great on my iPhone X. But it does not work well with the iPad mini 2 or iPad, both of which my kids primarily use. We thought this was a great option for kids to send pictures make the faces of all the fun stuff that it offers. But the Facebook images from context don’t load and either the other two devices nor do the GIFs or stickers. So unless I let my kids use it on my phone, this app is worthless. I have uninstalled and reinstalled. I have also done hard restarts on both of the devices. If those could be fixed it would be great as the parental controls are great.
  • Good idea but can be improved.

I really wanted to love this since Facebook Messenger has been so useful to me to communicate with friends-family around the world without who aren’t iPhone users. Anyway, this app would have allowed my kids to send messages to these same family-friends. But I agree with another parent about the lack of push notifications. My kid has missed several video chat requests and messages because there was no notifications. If it weren’t for the app’s badge icon changing numbers, we’d never know about them. Please enable allow push notifications like in regular Facebook Messenger and I may bump up my star rating.
  • Why not worldwide?

We recently moved to the USA from Australia. Found this app great for kids to communicate with their <10yo friends here but the app is not available in Australia! It’s a first world country, same level of technology - and in some areas better - but Facebook won’t offer this app in the Australian iTunes Store. Why not?
  • iPod Touch notification needed

I like but notifications do not work on the iPod Touch. Any support help would be great.

  • Notifications Problems

    By jeksksjdjududjdjmeis
The app works fine, but there is no way to turn on notifications on if you accidentally click no when you are first asked.
