App Reviews

  • Zero use x 3 months

I am always on top of deleting unused subscriptions/apps before the free trial is up. I missed this app unsubscribe option by a few days while I was out of the USA. Within 72 hours of my return I executed the unsubscribe procedures. Fast forward 30 days and I was just notified of a charge for another new month. So I unsubscribed again. This time I looked for a way to be refunded for this, uninstalled and unused app. No refunds. I’m just talking this month and not the last month. I can literally say “thanks for nothing” and “thanks for the lack of refund options”.

Great app for keeping your brain busy off electronics
  • Needs more music.

For what it is; it’s a great app to learn from, but what I hate is the lack of varied music genres: pop, rock, blues, and country are wide terms for music, and their over all choice of songs is lacking. Especially in the rock department, as far as I could find because of a lack of an actual search option: I couldn’t find any Metallica, FFDP, and only a few AC/DC if I remember correctly. I guess I’m just mad that Fender bought, then shut down Riff Station. I hadn’t found any other app that allowed you to learn the very basics of any song from my obscure favorite of Der Erste Schritt with it’s beautiful acoustic to literally anything Linkin Park. I’d gladly pay the subscription if they had an eighth of the songs.
  • Money?

I am a new musician looking to start on the guitar, but I don't have enough money to pay. I need free lessons and I didn't get to try the app because I saw it didn't have a free option.
  • Love it

I like the structure it really helped me learn quickly. When I was playing along they gave great pointers! I am glad I signed up - 😁
  • So far

So good. My only complaint would be that while the chord progressions are noted in the videos while learning each section, they aren’t there when the song is played as a whole so trying to remember what comes next is a bit difficult for a beginner.
  • This app is crap

    By Skysky24
I love Fender guitars, but this app is garbage. I signed up through the iTunes Store, which is step 2 of the three step process. It hangs on that step and won’t allow me to proceed to the content. I touch subscribe on the screen and it tells me I’m already subscribed. Nothing is intuitive on here, no menu providing any sort of navigation to the content, nothing in the store, or my e-mail telling me to complete my subscription...I bought this to help my kid learn to play...I hope if it does end up working that their lessons are better than their crappy app.
  • Great BUT....

I am loving the app but am unable to access any of the sections from the “skills” category. Just leaves me with a blank loading screen for a long time (10 minutes with no sign of stopping). Any developer help/support would be greatly appreciated!

  • One of the best ways to learn!

Fender Play makes learning fun. I can practice at my own pace and also recap where I left off on the previous lesson without worrying about session time limits. The songs are pretty cool and the instructional videos are very informative. I also like the Fender Play community that is available through social media. This let’s students interact with each other by watching uploaded videos of progression.
