Expectful Meditation & Sleep App Details

Hello future meditator. First—bravo. No matter where you are on your parenting journey (preconception, pregnancy, motherhood), you’re here. That means you’re investigating ways to give your child the best start in life. You’re already doing a good job. At Expectful, we’re investigators too. So we peered around at the wide world of parenting. And everywhere we looked, we bumped into advice. We generally like advice, but everything we encountered was about taking care of our bodies— foods, vitamins, etc. Yet we couldn’t find anything about something essential— the connection between your mind and your baby. And when we couldn’t find what we were looking for, we decided to kick the investigating up a notch. We knocked on many doors— of scientific researchers, fertility experts, meditation guides, and soon to be and new parents just like you (hi). Turns out, meditation is scientifically proven to help you conceive and give your child the best start in life. Physically and psychologically. This means that when you meditate, you don’t just calm yourself. You actually create the brightest environment for your baby’s physical and emotional health. A simple way to make happier, healthier children and healthier, happier parents? We couldn’t sit on this news. That’s why we created Expectful. It’s a guided meditation app for your fertility, pregnancy, and motherhood journey. • Great app

It was recommended to me by my meditation teacher. I love it!
  • Transformed my pregnancy!

Thank you, Expectful, for changing my life and my pregnancy! Your meditations have improved my relationship with my husband, my baby, and even my own changing body. At first I was hesitant to pay an annual fee, but after trying so many “free” pregnancy apps that pummeled me with ads and didn’t add value, I bit the bullet and tried Expectful. After experiencing just a few of their amazing meditations, I knew I’d made the right choice! I love the Weekly meditations that catered to each one of my 40-weeks of pregnancy. I saw a huge surge in my happiness and well-being once I started using Expectful. Love that my baby gets all the benefits of meditation too!

So glad I didn’t pay for this app. Very basic and limited. I recommend the breathe app with tons of pregnancy meditations.
  • Was hoping for more!

I purchased the monthly subscription and tried it out almost every night. I really liked the weekly pregnancy meditations that help you bond and reflect. I didn’t like the two sleep meditations that prepare you for a deep sleep. They end abruptly rather than fading out and it would always wake me up out of my sleep which was unfortunate. I had planned on using it up until I had my baby in hopes it would help me during labor but I don’t feel it’s worth the money.
  • Wonderful app for mom (and dad!)

    By nycWorkplaceWarrior
I am using and loving this app every day! The offerings are diverse and soothing. I’ve had a daily medi practice for 3 years and feel very grateful for this type of app tailored to helping me understand what is happening in my body and mind during my first trimester (and beyond). My husband enjoys participating too!!! Thank you for creating this!!
  • Good app

    By Valerie3956
This app is good and the meditations are nice, but I am noticing that there are no meditations aimed at women who are experiencing miscarriage, stillbirth, or other pregnancy complications. I understand that there are difficult subjects to tackle, however not all pregnancies go well, and it would be wonderful if Expectful had some content for us mamas who are going through such intense situations.
  • Calm!

I'm not a professional meditator so these guided meditations are so helpful! I even used them during labor. Highly recommend Expexctful!
  • Zero Stars - Seems Like a Scam

    By ImFreakingHungry
“7 day free trial” with no terms and conditions does not mean “7 day free trial and then we will start charging you $74.99 annually without your consent” this application is sneaky and I wouldn’t trust it. If you want to reduce expecting mothers stress don’t try to scam them and automatically charge their card without them knowing. Glad I caught it and cancelled it in time. I don’t have $74.99 to spare and would have been really hungry that week.
  • Doesn’t Work At All - Cant even Register/ Free Trial a Joke

    By AppVoice2016Research&Journ
I have a brand new iPhone. Downloaded app. First time, wouldn’t let me sign up. Doesn’t recognize I’m pressing on the screen so can’t input name or email etc. Had to delete app and retry. Same problem again. What a disappointment. Third time - worked but it’s asking me to sign up and give payment which I feel uncomfortable doing because what if I’m not happy with it then there’s the hassle of trying to figure out how to cancel. Other people said they have a difficult time cancelling and I don’t want to have to deal with that headache. I hate it when apps do this. A free trial should be completely free - no card requests till I’ve tried it and it’s shown me it’s worth investing in. I don’t like feeling trapped into a payment system that will likely be a nightmare to get out of/cancel ... like most apps.
  • Frustrated

    By sincerly annoyed
I downloaded the app expecting to be able to at least do a one or two free meditations but nope you have to have a subscription to listen to any of them . Kind of frustrating. Preparing for a baby is already stressful and expensive and now to get some anxiety or stress relief I have to commit to a subscription .
