I love this game and am a statistics person but in order to enjoy it You must be prepared to lose because no matter how much money you spend and how great you make your team the game will beat you especially in season mode because if you are winning you won’t spend money and all the makers of this game really care about is getting your money out of your pocket so enjoy it it’s a fun game but accept losing and don’t spend your money because I’ve learned my lesson you can assemble the greatest team in history and this game will not let you win because if you win you will not spend money it’s all about the money everyone should write mlb to look at Who they have licensed to represent the product these people do not care about baseball or the consumer it’s just legal robbery
  • Good game but problems....

    By mahz
Updated review: I think I’m done with the game. Physics, upgrades, player AI overall are lackluster. Thanks for the memories. Weeks ago: After logging in via email, I can only play on my account on one device. The other device doesn’t pick up where I left off on the other device. Game Center should be used as log-in. - was scrolling to input favorite team and accidentally chose marlins. Wouldn’t let me go back and pick a different team. Forced me to tap “OK”. 350 gold to change it now. Riiipppp off.

  • Rip off game!

This game is 100% all about money if I could give it a 0 star I would I have spent thousands on this game and they say buying players is a randomized way to win a player. That’s false I spent $300 and out of 10 players 3 being good players I got the bottom 3 worst players over and over. They refuse to fix the problem and they will do nothing to make you feel better about spending $300 on a player you will not use. It’s a money grab game think twice before downloading this game
  • Not fun anymore

This game is a shining example of what is wrong with the gaming world wrapped up in a nice pretty package. Gold is the main currency in this game. Priced at various intervals it would seem to take thousands of dollars to become a top player in this game. For example it costs $99.99 for 12800 bars of gold, which will enable you “the chance” to get good players in random packs. Like EA sports, they don’t tell you what the odds are of getting 4-5 star players in any pack or mystery box. That $99.99 you spend will only put a minor dent in what you need to do to be competitive beyond the first few levels which are designed to get you playing before hitting the concrete pay wall of progress. The home run derby, which should be a fun little mini game is structured in a way where unless you have spent at least a thousand dollars in getting 10 sluggers to use in the mode you do not have a chance of advancing past round 2. Another pay wall. All in all it’s a pretty game that becomes totally useless to play after a certain point where it impossible to play without spending boatloads of cash. It’s pay to win at its creepiest, nausea inducing best here, putting EAs Ultimate Team to shame with its constant begging for you to spend gold, it’s easy to press places “spend gold” buttons that appear in the exact same spot on the screen which is designed to get you to waste gold on things you didn’t want to. Oh you can watch videos to earn free gold. You get 4 gold per 30-60 second video, which should get you a good player to use in game in about 10 years. Gold cannot be earned at all in game, and no premium players are available in game with the currency you can earn in the game, known as cash. Cash can get you crappy players and crappy draft picks, but no amount of cash can get you a “chance” at a premium player through a high end draft pick or mystery box. That can only be done by spending money on gold, and a LOT of it. So you cannot even grind out getting premium players through playing games. Cash becomes useless once you’re past a certain point. Gold is king, and can only be earned by spending boatloads of cash. If you want to experience what is wrong with games in 2017, play this game and you’ll learn all about it. Recommend to avoid.
