App Reviews

  • Top rate reporting.

I truly enjoy The Athletic. Very good research coupled with good writing. To me, it is almost a return to the days of “The National” with quality writers who understand their subject matter and help the reader understand it better. I absolutely feel better informed after reading it. The Cleveland “crew” is terrific. I can only imagine that it will continue to get better and I’m locked n’ loaded for the future. Now if only the Browns....
  • Excellent App, Amazing NHL Writers

I cannot say enough good things about The Athletic- and I’m still in my trial period! Already signed up to continue my coverage once these few days run out. I’m all about the NHL, and the NHL coverage is amazing! Excellent writing. Long form content. App makes for a sleek, enjoyable reading experience. Outstanding!

Great sports writing from top writers around the Nation, many new articles - in variety - pop up to read throughout the day. No adds to endlessly click through- just pure sports writing at its best. Did I say no pop up adds? It’s great.
  • Quality sports writing

In the social media/hot take/clickbait era, the Athletic is a breath of fresh air. Enjoy reading quality sports writing on this app.
  • Just what you need

Great source of quality coverage from top notch writers and reporters. Fantastic.
  • Great app, well worth the cost

I’ve been very impressed with The Athletic so far, and if it’s available with coverage of the area that you live or it covers your favorite teams and sports, it’s a slam dunk. Understandably it’s difficult to decide to pay for information that would seem to be available elsewhere for free, but you won’t know until you try it that the articles are solid information with no fluff, and you can set your preferences to fit your interests. Trust me, you can’t go wrong. 5 stars.
  • NFL

Sundays NFL playoff games covered by local papers and bleacher report. Nothing on athletic.

Great content and writers, but I have an issue paying for sports content.
