  • App needs work

    This app really needs work done to fix these glitches. Quite often when I complete a ride and it goes to the rating screen, it completely freezes. I can’t complete the rating, I have to completely close out of the app and sometimes sign back in. It’s causing me to lose out on additional rides because of the time spent restarting the app. The map is terrible. I wish it would link up with my iPhone map. I can’t tell you how many times a rider puts their address in and Uber’s map takes me to their backyard in an alley way. ????? Why??? A lot of my riders tell me there are much more practical routes that could be taken as well as opposed to the route Uber has selected. I also agree with some of the other drivers that say the portion of what we get from a riders fare is unsatisfactory at times. Sometimes I feel like I’m practically driving for free with the shorter rides. And I don’t mind short rides, however it’s frustrating seeing how much Uber is taking from these trips and how little I am receiving. Tonight a customer needed to change their drop off location and neither him or myself could figure out how to do that. It’s like the button wasn’t there. I’ve helped riders find it before, but we couldn’t find it tonight so they had to cancel the ride and then request it again and even though they were literally sitting in my car still, the request went to another driver and they had to get out of my car and wait for the other person to get there. I felt bad. It is difficult when this is a drivers means to make money and it is being negatively affected by app glitches. I do my best to provide excellent service and hope my good ratings will show that, however sometimes I feel like because of this app some riders are knocking a star off of my rating. Please take the time to fix these very important issues.

    Since the last Apple update this app has been terrible! I am not receiving my normal boost or getting calls. I drove for 8 hours and barely made gas money. When you call support it’s all overseas and they never know what’s going on. Plus you can’t talk to a live person unless your on a trip. Well if the app isn’t working properly how am I supposed to use it to email you? It would be nice to have a live person for tech issues. I’m losing at least $100 a week since this last rotten update!

    I’ve been making deliveries for about a week or two and at first it was going great! I made a good amount of money and was really enjoying it one day I even had 6 deliveries in the span of almost 3 hours! After a few days I went back on and I can’t get anything. I would sit for about 30 minutes and get one delivery. Keep in mind this was DURING the boost hours. You would expect that I would be getting orders more frequently. One night I spent a total of 2 hours and only got one delivery. I read reviews and how they also aren’t getting orders so it seems to not only be me. I want to continue doing Uber eats but the lack of orders is ridiculous. This app needs work.

    The old app has been getting glitchier and glitchier over the past 2 months. 1st the Earnings would never update unless you closed and reopened the app. Now the share my location won’t work no matter how many times I uninstall reinstall, remove contact and add contact. Hoping I get the new app soon.

    Just Terrible. In app support is a joke and they will leave messages unanswered for 72 hours if not longer. Avoid this disgusting unethical shady dump of a business. Update: Developer response says to contact in app support and I assume they think they are clever in offering this but in app support continues to be no help and a joke. This app is messing with my livelihood now and now I don’t know how I’m going to pay my bills or rent. Thanks a lot, Uber.

    I’m having a issue with my GoBank debit card with the overdraft and my card somehow got hacked and is -$200.61 when I never asked for the $100 overdraft they claimed Uber put on card and I asked Uber to remove that overdraft feature from my card and my demand is not met

    I think the app is very easy to use and don’t understand how half the ppl that commented had such problems using it. Pickups aren’t always the apps problem, riders do enter the wrong pickup location and sometimes when riders request rides they use the “from current location” button which sometimes doesn’t show them their true current location and they are quick to blame the app.. have if you maybe using cheap phones or phones from companies who don’t provide good service... that will indeed have a hick up when running the app... also drivers should make sure they are driving with the WiFi turned off... if WiFi is on I noticed my app would stall because my phone would try to tap into a close WiFi connection then break phone internet service... the app is easy to use, how much more simple do some of you need it?
