  • Can’t trust it

I’ve tried multiple different settings and the app continually takes us off an interstate or major freeway onto tight and crowded city streets using a slower route (opposite of what it should do). This happened again today when we were traveling to a campground about a mile off the interstate. Instead of taking us to the exit off of the interstate where the campground is located it had us exit several miles prior going through a small city. It made zero sense so we made the block and got back on the interstate. I estimating that it would have taken an additional 20 minutes using the apps’ route. Additionally we have our profile height set to 13’9” and the app took us on a route the went under a bridge that was advertised as 13’4”.
  • Not so good

I was hoping this would be an improvement on Google Maps. Yes and no. It is missing the campground I drove to today. When I gave It the address, it was off by three blocks. I find the robotic voice annoying. Aside from that, it does know the size of my RV. Don’t know if It uses that information. And it has more input on the speeds I drive, so arrival times are more truthful. Being a year old, it is due for a refresh.
  • Jury is out...but I have concerns

This is a follow up to my initial review which is below. I have been using copilot now for about 5000 miles and although the interface is a bit clunky...once it is set up and navigating I find it very clear and effective. It adds miles to my trip based on my settings...but those miles are driven with peace of mind regarding overpasses and tunnels and such. Happy I bought the app. I bought this because I’m on an extended trip with my 43 foot 5th wheel which is 13’6” tall. The gps isn’t the most user friendly...but once I got used to it I was beginning to think it is ok. Then I got directions to the pro football hall of fame and it missed the mark by like 3 miles. Way way off. I hope it is better at avoiding low bridges than at finding massively famous POI.
  • Worthless with this version

I don’t like writing bad reviews but unfortunately I have to. I paid a lot of money for this app and it’s not working at all for me. I had to use a regular CoPilot app instead of RV one and even with that, their search functions and user interface is simply cumbersome and horrible. I find myself hoping that Google would just add RV features to their Maps and wipe CoPilot out of business. I root for small companies like CoPilot but they have to design this right, user friendly and simple. It’s not.
  • Not impressed. Planning features need much work

First, if your rv is a towable instead of motorized, this app has no input for your specs. Also, the planning is weak at best. We are currently heading south and plan to stop in about 4 hours. We have set our “next stop” but the app will not search for campgrounds in that area, only local to where we are currently. The only advantage I have seen over our outdated Tom Tom or google maps is a better estimate of arrival time. Interface is not intuitive, and clunky at best when trying to navigate or browse for information. Did not meet expectations and would not recommend at this point.
  • Caution

I travel to Portland today. I had five stops entered. The first one was at DMV to secure an Oregon drivers license. I got mixed up in traffic and missed my turn thinking I could double back. WRONG! Many one-way streets and streets that resembled alleys. It would be great to have to stop your vehicle at each destination, unless that stop is canceled. I ended up bouncing all over Portland in rush-hour traffic. In the future, I will enter one destination, save, then create a second, third, etc destination. I hope programming permits that.

This is a good navigation app that can keep one out of trouble . In my opinion, it could become great if you could name the size of your gas tank and MPG, while developing your trip to your destination. This way, you would know when and where along your trip to plan for fuel stops. I really like the app, but the suggestion above would get the 5th star! Can’t wait to see version 10 for IOS.

Followed the directions to the Wright Brothers Monument, pulling out travel trailer, and it had us turn a block too soon! Ended up in some residential area where we LUCKILY found a somewhat tight loop to pull around in. This was our first trip since downloading the app, so I really hope it gets better. Not yet impressed.
  • Good but not designed for campers

I drive a long bed pickup with a 42’ fifth wheel. This app has given us good routing directions but could be better optimized for combination Vehicles. While Co-Pilot offers a truck version, it has poor reviews, and I can’t stomach another $100 GPS app. That fifth star would be there if not for this issue. On a side note, I don’t rely on this app for waypoints like gas stations. I use Google.
