Fanfic Pocket Library Reader App Details

This app is an UNOFFICIAL fanfiction Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) site. I created it because I am a fan of fanfiction, and I wanted to help people access the stories they love. No subscription is needed to use this app. Downloading and using this app is not a substitute for getting an Invitation to post stories on AO3; nobody needs an Invitation to read stories on AO3, or give kudos. Archive Of Our Own is created, hosted and maintained by a team of volunteers, and they do not ask anyone to pay to share or read stories on the site. If you are kind enough to give me a "tip" that money goes to me, not to The Organization for Transformative Works or AO3. Thank you for using Unofficial fanfiction Reader for the Archive Of Our Own (AO3) site! Search your favorite fanfics by multiple tags, exclude tags, search by fandom, fanfic title, author, characters and other options; read fanfics right from the app with no need to open them in separate reader app, download the best fanfics for later offline access. Log in to AO3 to access your bookmarks (favorite bookmarked fanfics), check your History, leave kudos (likes) and view and leave comments for the fanfics. Night Reading Mode: switch to day/night theme by using icon on Navigation Bar while reading the fan fiction story. Fullscreen mode: tap in the centre of the screen while reading the fanfic to enter full screen, tap again to go back to normal view. When you launch the app, it shows list of fanfics from AO3 main page. To filter results use Search option. To view fanfic, click on the item with its description. Then you will be taken to the fics details page which show all the information including author name, title, number of chapters, kudos, comments, views and other info about the story (fandom, characters, relationships etc). As AO3 doesn’t have any API, so issues do occur. Thanks for understanding. The application includes Auto-Renewable Subscription (Prosub). Once you have purchased it, the subscription starts. Since then every week you will get digitally generated recommendations of fan fics (fan fiction works). Subscription length is 1 month and it its auto-renewable. The subscription price is 0.99$ per month. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal. Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during active subscription period. Privacy Policy and Terms of Use link: Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication.

  • I love it but. . .

    By Star_wish101
i love ao3. they have amazing writers and i find fanfiction that i can’t find at either or wattpad, but i think it’s dumb that you have to be a member to check updated work. two of my favorite books updated TWICE and i can’t find the subscribe button to be able to read those and it’s really frustrating. maybe i just don’t know how to work it but still. . . we all can’t get memberships
  • How to subscribe a work?

the new updates have its functionality go down and down. cant open bookmarks, search page is totally broken, signing in does jack and the whole thing is riddled with adds. just use your browser at this point
  • The search engine is acting up

I try to search for a certain fandom and it pops up as like a few stories there than it did originally For example Type in my hero academia and get 86 stories when there’s more than that many on there it’s weird Or even a ship it pops up few not all of em
  • Issue

    By Boogail
Inbox doesn’t work or some other things. It tells me I need internet and I have internet and it’s working fine as well as it tells me to sign in and I do but then the page says error. Other than that everything is great.

Searching and downloading series could be a little smoother, but for an unofficial reading app it’s quite nice!

after updating it won’t even open anymore
  • One Issue

    By Digitalimpact32
I love this app, and go to it to read most of my fanfiction. However, latley I’ve noticed that whenever I organize my stories, as soon as I click out of the app my stories will be in the uncatetgorized folder. This keeps happening no matter how many times I reorganize my stories. Besides that, the app works great, if you could just fix this one issue that would be great! Thank you!
  • Search Function Broken

    By ELR4224
My old version for iOS9 started acting wonky when I searched for fics, returning no results when I typed in the exact author and title. So I upgraded. Now when I search I still get no results when using precise information, and when using incredibly broad search parameters I might get 10 results when on the website I get thousands. Also now I’m not allowed to have more than 30 downloads with the free version. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! It went from UNLIMITED to THIRTY?! Originally this was a 4-Star app, but now that I can’t actually add new fics to my lineup, it’s only ONE-star, and only because at least I still have access to the previous fics I downloaded. Also, advertisements are getting out of control. It used to be every 15-20 clicks I had to sit through an add, then down to 10, now its every 2-3. I’ve mostly swapped over to ff . net app anymore these days, even though it has less to pick from for my fandoms. At least it’s usable, though. I’m done with this app when I finish with my previously downloaded stories. It used to be so simple and user-friendly. Now it’s a pay-to-read nightmare of adds and impossible search engines. It wasn’t broken, but the developer tried to find things to fix anyway and made a mess of everything. Less. Is. More.
