App Reviews

  • Quite possibly a scam

    By tiny-timebomb
I was introduced to roomster by a craigslist ad, which someone else has mentioned in the reviews. After downloading the app and trying to get in touch with op on Craigslist again, the listing I was looking for is not on the app and I was getting auto responses to apply on the app. I figured maybe I could use it to find something else anyway. Nope. I messaged 9 people, paid for the stupid app, and in 3 days, not a single one of these people have gotten back to me. I find it hard to believe that so many people looking to rent out a room would all be so passive and dismissive of responses. I’m not sure if it’s coincidental or not, but since I’ve downloaded this app, my phone has been malfunctioning a LOT as well. It’s all just really sketchy.
  • Scam app

These people have so many fake dream home adverts in other pages such as Craigslist that all prompt you to subscribe to this app in order to communicate with them. Most of the adverts in this app are also fake or scam. The problem with their business is not automatic renewal of subscription as this is clearly mentioned and you may cancel auto subscription, but the issue is huge volume of scam attempts done in their app. Most of the good looking adverts are fake or scam. Moreover, the way these people get you to this app is also deceitful. Just beware and don’t throw out your money.
  • Garbage App

    By HouLos
It keeps sending me emails that I have messages to read, almost like spam. And no messages are on my account. I canceled my subscription because it's a garbage app.
  • Deceptive

Initially the app does not let you actually communicate with anyone unless you subscribe and then once subscribed, deleting your account does not stop your subscription from being charged weekly on your apple account, which is conveniently not made clear by the people at roomster. More of a con app than a roomate finding app.

⁉️‼️⁉️‼️BELIEVE ALL THE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS APP ⁉️‼️This app is a scam they will make you buy it thinking you have people messaging you I've messaged so many people and have never gotten back to me and usually all messages you guys are a test with "message removed" SAVE YOUR 7 dollars for a mc chicken and medium fries this company should be sued for false advertisement !
  • App won't open

  • Don't waste your money

I'm really disappointed in this app and I kind of hope none of you use this. It's a good concept but it's really confusing to use and you have to pay just to get messages. I've been getting charged without knowing and now I had to delete my card information since there's nowhere I can go to "unsubscribe". These people are shady, do not trust them.
  • Scam

They're just trying to "Hustle you" by making you purchase a subscription. As someone stated great concept, horrible app and horrible developers for trying to get money like this.
  • Do you like to IM for 8$ a week?

    By Coolboi420
This is the most trash exploitative app on the marketplace. Nothing beyond instant messaging function is unlocked (which is pretty crucial) for the fee. Honestly, you’re better off dealing with weirdos from Craigslist.
  • This is A Scam App

Was looking for rooms to rent. Most of my messages I sent on here were A) Never Received or B) Never Answered. I kept getting notifications of new messages, but when I went to my inbox, I saw " Message has been deleted". What an a waste of time and money. Don't buy the subscription service, you won't get anywhere. Also, customer service was robotic. I've downloaded over 100 apps on my iPhone over the years, this was ranks one of the worst. Craigslist is where it's at people!
