  • Luv it

It’s got me addicted to making an entry everyday without notifications😉. I absolutely think everyone should have this app, I’ve tried other journal writing apps and it’s just annoying but this is simple, easy and fun. I am a true recommender of this, if you want a simple snazzy journal to write your thoughts you need Day One!
  • Simple and great!

Love it. I’ve been doing my clinical experience journal here.
  • Angry about new subscription requirement

When 2.0 rolled out we were told we could continue using the older ‘classic ‘ version we previously paid for. Now I have a new phone and I can’t use the app unless I want to fork out $35 a year. I know the cost is about 67 cents a day but it angers me when I paid to have something (with syncing between devices), used it for 3 years, thousands of journal entries later, and then it’s taken away. I will now have to waste time finding out how to import my entries into another program because the whole idea was to have all my entries accessible and in one place. Or maybe I need to give up on technology and go back to paper and pen, bc this is not the first time an app developer has moved to this model and took away the functionality of the app I liked.
  • Issues in current build

Currently having an issue where iPhone X freezes if you scroll up while editing a post. Then it’s likely that you loose at least some of what you have changed. Frustrating.
  • Struggles with Apple Watch entries

    By j kay
I love this app. It’s the best journaling app I have found. It used to work with my Apple Watch w/lte but now it doesn’t write my entries from my Apple Watch. Wish it would work since I find it a useful tool to use on my Watch at work for quick entries. But now I’m sad because it’s not working ☹️
  • Not simple anymore

    By oscruv
I used to love opening up the day one app and letting my thoughts pour out onto the simple blank canvas. Recent updates have made the app a clumsy mess. Too many things move when scrolling, too many menus, too much irrelevant text bolded. I’d appreciate a little more focus on the few features that matter. Glad to see the app utilizing end-to-end encryption now, that’s a must for me.

I like having a journal, it helps me gather my thoughts, my goals, and my needs. This might sound odd, but I also talk with God. My thoughts are directed to my creator. I like this.
  • Thoughtful and useful

I've tried other diary type apps but either buggy or boring. Try this. You'll like it.
  • My opinion

It’s a great amazing app but you have you have to join premium for many certain things like you cant add two photos in one journal entry and much more.
  • Grateful for this Jornal

Since I started using the journal, I’ve enjoyed it. I’ve wanted to start a journal for years but due to a medical diagnosis my hands get tired very easily when writing. I wanted to start a Gratitude journal, making note of 3 things I’m grateful for each day. So far I’ve been successful and have not missed a day! In addition to making journal entries, I can capture moments by adding pictures and the location! Such an amazing app! Very easy to use and has helped me follow through with my plans.
